Housecalls 101: What to Expect

Healthy Pet Exams
Report
The single most important thing you can provide for your pet from a medical standpoint is a complete physical examination once a year. Because your pet cannot tell you when something is wrong, the exam gives the doctor an opportunity to look for subtle signs of disease or other issues that are not apparent in your pet's everday life.
Vaccinations
Report
We recommend vaccinating your pet against serious but preventable diseases like rabies, distemper, and other diseases. Thanks to effective vaccines and routine vaccination protocols, the incidence of these diseases is low, but when they occur they can be severe and even fatal. We tailor our vaccine recommendations to each particular pet's environment and lifestyle.
Bloodwork and Diagnostics
Report
Bloodwork helps us assess and monitor the overall health of your pet's internal organs and systems. We offer a full range of blood tests, from standard panels and profiles that assess a number of different values to specialized tests that focus on specific organ functions and conditions. If the doctor thinks bloodwork will be helpful in your pet's case, he or she will discuss this with you and draw the blood at the visit. We submit the blood to a national diagnostic laboratory for fast and accurate testing.
