Turn right (west) and follow the road approximately 1.5 miles until the road curves south. Just after the road curves south, Symbioun is located on your left-hand side and the sign near the road reads "Veterinary Clinic". Follow K-15 highway into Abilene until you reach the 14th-street stoplight (Sonic and Kwik Shop are located at this corner). Turn west on 14th street and follow it approximately 1.5 miles until the road curves south.

Sadly used to be my go to Vet. But they were extremely cruel and inhumane in the euthanasia of my dog Lilly who had a mammary gland tumor. She was 15. But they were extremely cold and seemed angry, and THEY DIDNT SEDATE HER. They just gave her the shot. No IV, No sedation, just gave her the euthanasia shot right out the gate. Barely let my family say goodbye. Were only focused on making sure they got their money and it was over in less than 10 mins. My dog was scared and struggling and they just held her down and forced her to comply rather than sedation and allowing some time to sit with her. It was an extremely hard and traumatic experience and they didnt explain anything to my family about what to expect or anything. Just got us in and out as fast as possible and took her to the back shortly after. Everytime Ive went to see them over the last 2 years, even prior to euthanizing my dog, they were short, cold, apathetic , and almost seemed angry for no reason? Like theyre annoyed that we came in. I definitely dont trust them with my animals. More recently I tried to bring my cat in for an upper respiratory infection because she couldnt really breathe through her nose and had weepy eyes and kept sneezing and coughing and they told me she was fine and not sick enough for meds. Told me to come back in a WEEK. I had to take her to another vet the following day for a second opinion and they immediately gave me antibiotics and wanted to make a follow up appointment to check for feline asthma because I had told them that she has coughing fits quite frequently and and its just been exacerbated by the URI. They told me they couldnt believe the other place had just brushed her off like that given her very obvious symptoms and signs of URI and that they refused to give me antibiotics. So yeah, Im not sure what changed at the Vet Clinic of Symbioun but when I began taking my pets there is 2018 or 2019 , they were GREAT. After Covid, idk if they changed staff or management but I never saw the nice female vet I had seen the first couple times. And after I stopped seeing her my experiences there went downhill and each time it seemed to get worse. The euthanasia of my dog was HORRIBLE. And I genuinely cannot believe that any vet would feel okay about doing that to a dog and a family grieving.

On Saturday November 9, 2024 my English Pointer had a small wound on the underside of her belly that was "mole like" in nature but was bleeding quite a lot. I live 600 miles away but found Dr. Kent by my phone and took my dog to him. Before I even got checked in they had my dog in the back room getting her fixed up. She is doing great. Thankyou Dr. Kent and staff.

I really like this office they are so friendly and go above and beyond and they never try to up charge you they always are honest and they are reasonable in cost. When you call Sherri is always so friendly and does her best to get you in around your schedule. The Dr's here are always laid back and take extra time even when they are busy.
