Services
Veterinary Medicine
Our comprehensive veterinary medicine services address all pet health needs through 30-40 minute appointments. We diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries while prioritizing client education and preventive care. With AAHA accreditation ensuring quality standards, our team develops personalized treatment plans incorporating medication, special diets, and follow-up care to maintain optimal pet health.
Animal Surgery
We provide advanced surgical care using modern anesthetic monitoring equipment and IV fluid support. Pre-anesthetic lab testing ensures patient safety while post-operative pain management promotes recovery. Our surgical suite includes EKG, pulse oximetry, and temperature regulation systems, with dedicated technicians monitoring each patient throughout procedures to maintain the highest care standards.
Pet Dentistry
Professional dental cleanings remove plaque and tartar causing oral disease. We use digital radiographs and periodontal pocket measurements to assess dental health. Anesthesia enables thorough ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, with regular maintenance every 1-2 years shown to extend pets' healthy lifespans through improved oral health.
Diagnostic Imaging
Full-service radiology and ultrasound capabilities support accurate diagnoses. Digital X-rays evaluate skeletal structures and organ systems while ultrasound provides detailed abdominal imaging. Our veterinarians use these tools for early disease detection, guided biopsies, and monitoring treatment effectiveness, maintaining equipment calibrated to veterinary medicine standards.
Pet Boarding
Our supervised boarding facilities provide clean, comfortable housing with species-appropriate bedding. Pets receive three daily walks, scheduled feeding, and medication administration. We accommodate special dietary needs with client-provided food while maintaining hygiene through regular cleaning. Supervised play areas and extended stay discounts enhance boarding experiences for dogs staying five nights or more.

We had an appointment booked for the 15th, assuming that's today not next month. This was told to us twice. We get there and the lady up Front said your appointment is in April. WOW what a waste of everyone's time. But twice?

Top notch care EVERY TIME at Lakewood Animal Health Center. Staff are helpful and caring. Wish I could give Dr. Andrea Eyler 100 's! She is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. She is unhurried and completely present during each appointment. Also, she respects my desire to treat our dog naturally when possible so it feels like a team approach, which I value and appreciate. Our little yet elderly girl hates going to the vet (anxiety reigns), but she LOVES Dr. Eyler!

They seem to have high prices for generic medications (like 4x cost of the same drug for humans), but otherwise I'm really pleased. They recognized our dog's critical condition and worked us into the schedule as needed. They've been very supportive of our choices as we navigated a very rare and life-threatening disease in our dog, where other vet offices scolded us for trying to keep our dog alive.
We had very collaborative discussions with the vet about treatment plans, even when we wanted to take a different direction. They've given us an open invitation to bring our dog in for basic recurring treatment (IV fluids) at our own discretion, which is nice because it's cheaper than paying to see the doctor every single time.

Absolutely the best veterinarians and staff! Everyone there is all about taking the best possible care of your pet! We have taken our dogs here for years and have seen all the veterinarians. Each one is knowledgeable and caring. Both our dogs have had simple check up visits, surgery, and everything in between and for every visit, no matter the situation, they take excellent care of us all. Dr. Eyler and the staff took our dachshund off the surgery table and to the shelter room with them when a tornado came close by and sirens were going off. Again, I highly recommend them and appreciate the veterinarians and all of the staff!
