Services
Emergency Care
Our AAHA-accredited hospitals provide 24/7 emergency veterinary services for dogs and cats during regular business hours, with on-call availability until 10 PM. Specialized teams handle trauma, poisoning, and acute illnesses using advanced diagnostic tools. Emergency care patients receive immediate triage and stabilization, with seamless transition to in-house specialists for complex cases requiring surgery or critical care.
Advanced Dentistry
We offer comprehensive dental care including digital radiography, periodontal disease management, and anesthetized cleanings. Our veterinary dentists use human-grade equipment to detect and treat oral infections that could impact systemic health. Preventive programs combine professional cleanings with at-home care guidance to maintain dental health and prevent organ-threatening bacterial spread.
Pet Travel Certificates
USDA-certified veterinarians prepare pets for domestic and international travel through required health certifications and vaccination documentation. We coordinate with relocation specialists for complex destinations like Australia and Japan, ensuring compliance with airline regulations, crate specifications, and destination-specific quarantine requirements for stress-free pet transportation.
Spay and Neuter
Our surgical team performs routine sterilization procedures with pre-anesthetic bloodwork and continuous vital monitoring. Post-operative care includes pain management and detailed recovery instructions. We educate owners about optimal timing for these preventive surgeries, emphasizing health benefits like reduced cancer risk and behavioral improvements in urban environments.
Wellness Care
Annual and bi-annual wellness exams detect early signs of disease in pets who hide symptoms. Comprehensive checkups include physical exams, parasite screening, and senior pet diagnostics like chest X-rays. Our preventive approach extends pet lifespans through early intervention while strengthening the human-animal bond through consistent, personalized care.

Extremely overpriced, they totally ripped me off, charging a small fortune for tiny things like Pepto Bismol for dogs. They tried ripping me off for thousands more just to clean and take out a few teeth for a small dog. These vets are scam artists.

Usually the clinic is very busy and you are just praying they are doing everything they should. We waited the last time 40 minutes for an appointment set in advance, and during the meeting someone just checked the cats ears said they fine. our concerns about our cat's behavior were dismissed saying "cats do that" hard to believe you need to pay 400$ for this.

Our 7 year old bulldog JJ needed a pyometra (uterus removal) surgery. Heart of Chelsea took us the next day. Dr. Bassman was amazing! JJ is home and doing great.

Heart of Chelsea & Dr Siebert has been taking care of my many dogs since 2001 when they were a small neighborhood practice 2 blocks from my apartment. I never thought about going anywhere else until I moved out of the city & tried to find a new vet. I tried a few different vets & then realized that I have such a level of trust in Heart of Chelsea and I'm so used to their level of excellence that it's worth driving into the city to see them.
Everyone who works there is trained, friendly & professional. It's very important to me that I can go in to the exam room & they allow that with proof of vaccination. They always call to follow up & submit insurance claims for me. The practice is spotless. They may be more expensive than a vet outside the city but they are totally worth it.

Everyone at Heart of Chelsea is absolutely amazing, I could not recommend them more. Every time I have called they have been incredibly kind, receptive, and patient with me. I live fairly far (in New Jersey) and I've been taking all three of my pups to them for about 2 years. They have helped me through spays, mass removals, and even euthanasia. I especially appreciate that they submit insurance claims for me. Dr. Summers is quite literally the best vet on Earth and the various vet techs (Claudia, Seline, Anthony, etc) and front desk staff are equally amazing. Sasha, Biagio, & Donatella absolutely adore the entire team and I do as well

I took my new puppy to Heart of Chelsea for her new puppy check-up. Staff were professional and prompt, and communicated well with me at all steps in the process, which was very welcome because vet visits are new to me. Dr. Fontana saw my pup and was kind to her and also thorough in his exam. I plan to continue working with Heart of Chelsea for the foreseeable future and would happily recommend them to fellow pet owners.
