Surgery & Dental Procedures
Report
At Hight Veterinary Hospital, we use Sevoflurane gas as our anesthesia. It is the safest on the market today and we use it with confidence. We use a ventilator to ensure adequate ventilation. Blood/Oxygen percentage (Pulse-Oximeter), heart rate, breathing rate, temperature, blood pressure, ECG and Carbon Dioxide are all established and monitored by a trained staff member on surgical patients. For those not intending to use their pets for breeding purposes, we highly recommend that you spay or neuter your pet.
Medical Services

Special visits geared toward these youngsters include a puppy or kitten pack that explains what vaccinations your new pet will be getting and will need in the future. It also has brochures on training tips as well as emergency contact numbers. Our veterinarians examine your pet beginning with vital statistics such as heart rate, breathing rate, temperature and beginning at the head, work from the tip of your pet's nose to the tip of the tail examining all external parts as well as using special instruments to examine the eyes, ears, heart, and lungs.
Diagnostic Services

When time is of the essence, we have in-house blood testing machines to give us valuable information on a pet right away. We also have send out testing services that allow for a larger range of tests. Results are returned in one to five days in most cases. In addition to blood testing, we can also do in-house cytology, helping to quickly diagnose such things as ear infections, skin problems, and some cancer, including the most common type of skin cancer in dogs (Mast Cell Tumors). We perform general abdominal ultrasound and heart ultrasound (echocardiogram).
