Dr. Robert Vaughan graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. After working as an associate veterinarian in Richmond, Texas, for six years, he decided to open his own practice. With 20 years of experience, Dr. Vaughan has established a strong relationship with many pet owners in the surrounding areas, including Spring Valley and the Memorial Villages.

Scratching is symptomatic of a number of ills, all of which need to be considered, from external parasites (fleas, ticks, demodex skin mites, sarcoptic mites) to fungi such as ringworm, to skin infections, including staph. If your pet has none of these, it's a good bet s/he suffers from allergies. More than ten percent of all scratching pets are affected by allergies, which should be taken seriously.
