What is a Veterinary Specialist
Report
Pets require specialized care for many of the same reasons humans do. The pet may require intensive monitoring, an advanced surgery or treatment, or they may have been diagnosed with cancer, for example. Usually, your primary care veterinarian will recommend that your pet see a specialist, but if you are concerned about your pet's condition you may make the request yourself.
Anesthesiology
Report
We know that the thought of your pet needing anesthesia scares a lot of pet owners. We also know that some of you have postponed or opted out of recommended procedures because of that fear. Veterinary anesthesia has gotten safer and safer over the years, and the majority of anesthetic procedures go smoothly.
Clinical Nutrition
Report
We know that good nutrition is vital to good health. How do you know you're making good choices for your pet? Choices in pet foods and treats expand each day, and it becomes very difficult to make sense of the often conflicting information we receive about pet nutrition. We are proud to offer a resource to the Central New York area in our Clinical Nutrition Service, led by Dr. Renee Streeter. Your pet is struggling with a chronic health condition (such as diabetes, urinary problems, gastrointestinal issues, organ disease, allergies, etc).
