Dr. Melissa Wu grew up in Olympia and always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. A proud Cougar, she earned her BS in Neuroscience followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University. After years in small animal practice in Olympia, her family moved up to Mercer Island in the summer of 2016 and she joined the team at MIVC in the fall.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Samantha moved to Seattle in Fall of 2016 after serving four years in the U.S. Army. Although Samantha is relatively new to veterinary medicine she has harbored a love for animals and their beloved owners since childhood. This love transferred into adulthood and became the driving force for her to Army separation.

We feel extremely fortunate to be allowed to provide the highest quality medical care for our patients in a compassionate and welcoming environment. We pledge to protect the physical health of our patients, to safeguard their emotional welfare, and to be stewards of the treasured human-animal bond through our vocation of veterinary medicine.

MIVC Techncian Monique is a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Behavior with over 20 years of clinical experience. Her passion for patient welfare and the human-animal bond have inspired her to teach families and veterinary teams how to use tools like desensitization, classical conditioning, classical counterconditioning, operant conditioning, and more to teach pets how to be willing partners in their own veterinary care.
