This is a compilation of some of the questions our clients commonly ask. The first set of questions relate to surgery, the second set are general. If your question is not answered here, or you would like further information, please feel free to call us at 248-693-1677. Dogs and cats need to be fasted for surgical procedures and non-surgical procedures which require sedation or anesthesia. Food should be withheld after 8:00 pm, unless otherwise instructed by our staff. Water, however, should not be withheld.

What To Expect

As a new client of Brinker Veterinary Hospital in Lake Orion, Michigan, you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll escort you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. One of our veterinarians will then examine your pet, ask you further questions and may recommend diagnostic tests if needed.
