Animal lovers. In everything we do, we believe in caring for every pet we see like our own and making a difference in your life. Even though she was all about horses as a child, Dr. Johnson loves and enjoys working with all animals. Dr. Hammons grew up on a farm in Limestone County. He became interested in veterinary medicine when his first pet became ill and had to be hospitalized. The pet survived, and the profession that provided the ability to help sick and injured animals became his goal to achieve.

We are proud to be an AAHA accredited animal hospital. AAHA is an animal health organization with a simple guiding mission: to accredit veterinary practices who demonstrate excellence in everything they do. From staff training to anesthesia protocols, and everything in between, there are approximately 900 variables that a veterinary practice must demonstrate excellence in through routine examination and inspection. Fewer than 15% of animal hospitals are AAHA accredited. We are one of the few. Because when it comes to your pet, only the best will do.

Our hospital is equipped to handle boarding needs ranging from day care services to overnight care. We also provide medical boarding for pets that require supervised care due to diabetes, surgery, and other health-related issues.
