We founded Best Friends Mobile Vet Clinic to fundamentally change the veterinary experience for pets and their owners in Western North Carolina. Our journey began with Dr. Scott Pickett, who earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 1999 and began practicing in the region in the summer of 2000. We recognized a critical need for a mobile service and opened our doors in the summer of 2005, making us a long-established presence in the community. Our team brings together decades of combined expertise, including Dr. Pickett's extensive background in small animal medicine and surgery from his years at Jackson County Veterinary Associates and Cope Creek Animal Hospital. Our Office Manager and Technician, Stewart Pickett, has been a dedicated veterinary professional since 1997, gaining invaluable experience in emergency animal care before joining our practice. We operate a state-of-the-art mobile clinic that eliminates the stress and trauma associated with transporting pets to a traditional office.

Our service model guarantees your pet avoids exposure to other sick animals, providing a safer healthcare environment. We serve the medical needs of dogs and cats across Buncombe and Henderson counties, including the Asheville, Black Mountain, and Hendersonville areas.
