Services
Pet Behavior Counseling
Our veterinary team addresses common pet behavioral issues through comprehensive consultations and customized treatment plans. We diagnose problems like aggression, separation anxiety, and compulsive disorders while ruling out underlying health concerns. Our approach combines behavior modification techniques with environmental adjustments to improve pet well-being and owner-pet relationships.
Pet Dental Care
We provide complete dental care including preventive maintenance and surgical treatments for oral health issues. Our services range from routine cleanings to advanced procedures for tooth fractures and periodontal disease. Digital dental radiology helps identify hidden problems while our preventive programs reduce long-term dental complications for cats and dogs.
Surgical Procedures
Our surgical services utilize state-of-the-art equipment for both soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Skilled veterinarians perform operations on eyes, ears, and joints while maintaining strict monitoring protocols throughout each procedure. We offer pre-surgical evaluations and post-operative care for conditions like cruciate injuries and patella luxation in pets.
Pet Emergencies
We handle urgent veterinary cases during regular hours and provide virtual after-hours support through Airvet's network. Our emergency services include triage assessment and stabilization for critical conditions. For after-hours emergencies, we coordinate care with regional specialty hospitals while maintaining continuity of treatment information.
Pet Microchipping
We offer permanent pet identification through microchip implantation, significantly increasing recovery chances for lost pets. The quick procedure involves placing a rice-sized chip between shoulder blades, which is then registered with owner contact information. Most shelters and clinics use universal scanners to identify microchipped animals efficiently.

Great place to take care of my cat for an emergency. His tail was de-gloved and required surgery. They were able to get him in and helped Tzar.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this place! Dr. Gordon is the best to our fur babies! She has seen our 3 wild pups for a couple of years now, and I am forever grateful for how caring and patient she is with them. We have a husky/shepherd mix and she is an absolute handful but she has always been so great with her. The entire staff has been so great to work with and I so appreciate them all!

I love this place so much. The vets always take the time to explain exactly what your pet has going on and what care they need. I switched from vca and noticed a huge step up in care for the pets. My cat recently had a surgery and the vet called me multiple times during the day to let me know how my pet was doing and how everything was going.

We've taken our German Shepherd Rex to Metropolitan Vet for years and they have always treated us and him so kindly. Last week we had to make the toughest decision to put our Rex down as he had just gotten too old to do much of anything. Because nothing catastrophic happened, we had a tough time making the call. Linda, our vet, was beyond supportive and reassured us multiple times that we were making the best decision for Rex, and we were doing the humane thing by not letting his health and quality of life diminish any further.

The staff at Met Vet have always been so polite and friendly, but we felt especially respected and cared for during this visit. We'll definitely be bringing our next dog here. The best vet in town, hands down!

I took my cat to Metropolitan Veterinary when I got her in Feb. 2020, right before the pandemic. The location is very close to where I live and I had seen positive reviews. My cat has been there three times now. The first time, I was able to take her in and the last two I have waited in the parking lot while Dr. Gordon has examined her. The staff has always been helpful over the phone and when they have taken her out of my car into the office. Dr. Gordon has called me after the exam and explained things in terms that I can understand and she's very friendly before a staff member brings my cat back to the car. I hope by 2023, I can go in with her. I recommend Met Vet.

AMAZING VETS! I took my cats here for three years before I moved out of the area. As a broke new pet parent, the staff and vets were so patient and kind with me. They always broke down costs of treatments and visits upfront and explained everything thoroughly so that I could make informed decisions. Dr. Linda is absolutely the best - she truly cares and took the time to give me consults for my cats' problems over the phone so that I could decide when to come in for a visit. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
