In 1983, Dr. Stephen Leonard and his family moved to Elk Grove, CA with the goal of building a veterinary hospital where he could provide excellent veterinary care and exceptional customer service in his own thriving community. After graduating from The University of California, Davis, in 1977, and prior to settling in Elk Grove, CA, Dr. Leonard practiced veterinary medicine in a small animal clinic in Redding, CA. He also worked in a mixed animal hospital in Anderson, CA before establishing a mixed animal practice in Hayfork, CA.
