VETSS (Veterinary Emergency Treatment Services & Specialty) is a full service veterinary hospital and emergency clinic in Charlottesville, VA. These visits can be scheduled in advance during normal business hours, including evenings and Saturdays. Please note that our hybrid appointment style may also be accompanied by adjustments to our regular hours.Our office is open every day of the week from 8am-8pm, including weekends and holidays, unless otherwise posted. Please call prior to your arrival whenever possible so that we can be most prepared for your visit.

Our veterinarians provide general wellness, plus surgical, dental, and specialty care during daytime business hours. We are also open from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week for emergencies. In addition to being one of Charlottesville's most recognized emergency veterinary hospitals, VETSS is also available for routine wellness and preventive care visits.

Payment is due at the time of service. Deposits are required for hospitalized patients, including surgical patients. Forms of payment accepted include: Cash/check, major credit card, and CareCredit (see below for details). Please understand that serious emergency conditions often require intensive testing and treatment, resulting in higher costs than the average, routine veterinary visit.
