Your new puppy or kitten should begin receiving vaccinations at 6 to 8 weeks of age. This is the age that they stop receiving their mother's disease fighting antibodies so vaccinations are extremely important. Pet's are typically spayed/neutered between five and six months of age. Early spaying and neutering help prevent mammary cancer and testicular cancer later in life.
