Michael Anthony D Rose Canyon Animal Hospital has been practicing for over 50 years. Dr. Anthony Michael is the current owner, purchasing the practice from Dr. Watson in 2004. Dr. Anthony Michael started as a technician here in 1988, and has been here ever since! Rose Canyon Animal Hospital is proud to serve the San Diego CA area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Michael, who is a licensed, experienced San Diego veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.

Originally from Germantown, Ohio, Dr. Michael spent his first year after high school as an exchange student in South America, then attended college in Ohio for two years. Dr. Michael then served in the Navy for 4 years. Following his strong love for animals and nature, he attended UCSD where he received a degree in Ecology in 1991.

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We at Rose Canyon Animal Hospital in San Diego, California have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet. We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.
Admissions

Rose Canyon Animal Hospital believes in the best and safest care for your furry family members. We require current (within 1 month) pre-anesthetic bloodwork for all anesthetic procedures, and we provide pain medicine (injection or tablet form) for all surgical procedures. If your pet is scheduled for an anesthetic procedure (dental, spay, neuter, lumps, etc) please do not give them breakfast that day. Water is allowed. You may drop off your pet between 8 am and 9:00 am, and be sure to have a phone number that we can reach you at during the day.
