The front desk staff and vet technicians are excellent. Dr. Portu is a wonderful doctor. The hours of operation are great, including being open on Saturdays.

This week we had to take our 14yr old Bailie in for emergency care. We called them at eight a.m. and were seen at 10:30. We have been visiting the last three months on the island so this is our first experience with Marco Veterinary Hospital. They came out and carried her in for us (70lbs) After exam and X-rays we were told she had a large tumor in her stomach . After compassionate counseling we made the difficult decision to let her go. Dr. Carrie and her staff were wonderful.
They gave us time alone with her to say our goodbyes. They loved on her just as we did each step of the process. I know God had His hand leading us to this caring group of medical team. We appreciate the way you cared for our Bailie Boo as if you had treated her all her life. Thank you so very much.

The vets, techs, and personnel are first rate. They will attend to your pets needs and schedule reminders when shots are due. All are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The vet who attends to my dog is friendly and professional. A special shout out to Ashley and her crew! Ashley is my dogs ONLY groomer. She Rocks! Thank you all!

The staff was calm and listened to my issues and spoke as if it were their own pet. I brought my dog in knowing it could be a while because the doctor had surgery that morning. I was surprised and relieved when the doctor called very soon after to say she examines him before surgery. She was very reassuring, and I was able to bring my puppy home. I've only had good experiences at the Marco Veterinary Hospital, and would highly recommend them.

First time going to this Veterinary Hospital. They got me in quickly and listened to what we wanted for our dog with extreme allergies as another experience was not good for our dog with allergies. Both vets we saw here were excellent and caring. The entire staff was very helpful. Highly recommend going here.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Marco Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Portu has been incredibly gentle with our big baby. She has been thoughtful about how she approaches both our dog and her medical issues. The staff has also been helpful in managing how we get our sometimes reactive dog in and out of the clinic.

I have had a visit with all the doctors there and was very happy with the care of my 2 dogs. Easy to make an appt and taken on time when you arrive. Although my dogs are nervous the techs always have a smile and soft words to help my dogs through the exam and nail trimming process. Thank you very much

As always, Very nice experience. My 9 year old Golden Doodle had 4 teeth extracted. Needed to return the following day for a further check. No problem getting him checked on a Saturday. On Monday, the Vet called me to see how Frosty was doing. She was extremely polite, informative & interested in my dogs well being. I highly recommend this practice. A 5 star professional office. This is an excellent Veterinary Hospital. Our favorite vet is Dr. Megan Stewart. Dr. Stewart performed surgery on our dog and she was excellent. Our dog recovered quickly without any problems. Another excellent person is a woman who works with the vets while the dogs are there. She lifts them onto the table with such gentleness and care, my dog always wants to hug her. It has been on my mind to find out her name, and I will do that now.

Our precious little girl, Lily, was so sick so we showed up on their doorstep when they opened. Without an appointment, they worked us in quickly and took great care of Lily. Dr. Meaghan Stewart was wonderful and very attentive and The office staff was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend them for your veterinarian needs.

We moved to Marco Nov 2021 - we have two geriatric dogs who require a lot of care - monthly. This group is amazing! We couldnt be happier with the treatment given to our babies and the love that is shown. Professional, kind and they take their time with you - I have never felt rushed. I have a favorite doctor, but everyone that has provided care is 100% awesome!

We have had dogs for 45 years never have I had a vet take such good care of our dog. Our 3 years old min8 Schnauzer was diagnosed with pancreatitis by dr. Garrison. He called three times in one day to let me know how she was and came in on a Saturday which happened to be his day off to discharge our dog and give us all the instructions on how to care for her. Staff was also very nice!

I highly recommend Dr. Garrison at Marco Veterinary Hospital. Once our house was complete I needed to find a good vet for our ailing cat, Chloe. Chloe has seen 3 different vets in the last 3 years. Dr. Garrison is the only veterinarian to come up with a different approach and willing to take the time to find different treatments to stabilize. her. Under Dr. Garrison's care, we see the most improvement and stabilization.
I speak to Dr. Garrison every month and he remembers each conversation from the previous month. He knows exactly what we have tried that month, what worked and what needs to change. I'm thankful for my experience here! I will not go anywhere else.

We have been clients since 2005. Doctors Garrison, Stewart & Portu are the most caring and knowledgeable veterinarians who go above and beyond for you and your pets. In the past two of our Yorkies were diagnosed with cancer and given a grim life expectancy from a specialized vet. Thanks to Dr. Garrison's treatment they both lived much longer than expected. Dr. Garrison was truly exceptional when he squeezed us and our sweet Dollie Cat into his already overbooked schedule yesterday. Dollie is approaching age 17 and diabetes was suspected due to her insatiable thirst and lethargy. With elevated sugar levels confirmed, immediate treatment was imperative. As we had no prior experience with insulin. injections, Dr. Garrison offered to stay after closing hours if necessary to personally instruct us how to safely and effectively administer the twice daily insulin injections that sweet Dollie now requires.
This is truly exceptional and laudable! Dr. Garrison is an extremely knowledgeable and caring veterinarian and we are so grateful that he was willing to go above and beyond to help our sweet Dollie at her time of need.

Horrible. we were charged $550 for tests with no explanation, and only advice was to take our dog to our home vet. They explained that they were short staffed.only person competent was the billing clerk who charged us for everything she thought of. AVOID THIS RIPOFF VET.

I would like to give a thumbs up to the Marco Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Garrison. On December 31 my 16 year old dog became very ill. I was fearful that I was going to lose her. I called the Marco Veterinary Hospital and although they were extremely busy on the 31st they said if I could bring her in right away they would do their best to work her in as an emergency. They did just that and after blood tests and shots and medicine my little dog came around and four days later she is doing just great.
I tend to be emotional about my pets and the staff was very positive and supportive. Dr. Garrison came out and told me everything he had done and went over all the blood tests and the care she would need. Our pets are part of our families and I could not be happier about the care my dog received and the professionalism and compassion of the staff.

I won't take my baby anywhere else but here. We have only lived on Marco a little over a year and have taken our 11 yr old yorkie to them on several occasions. Dr. Garrison is the absolute best! I know my baby is in such great hands with him. He even called to check on our baby over the weekend when he was really sick a while back. Not just Dr. Garrison, but the entire staff are amazing. If your pet needs any type of care, dont go anywhere but here.

The most caring and patient staff I have ever encountered. I was never there before and they treated me as if they knew me forever. I was in a bind trying to get my papers ready for my sweet puppy to travel with us on plane. Lets just say I was having a terrible time getting everything the airlines needed. This staff and doctor did everything they could and did get me the help I needed. Thank you lovely ladies and gentlemen. Toots and I will enjoy our flight home.

Love these guys. Are boy has been going there for his whole life..12 years, our dog before that and hubs other dogs that he used to have to. We may not always like the answers, but they always care, they always try to find the problem and the solution. Front desk is GREAT and caring for our babies as much as the Docs and the staff in the 'back'.

The doctors and staff couldn't be nicer! Also the groomer did an amazing job and did just what I asked for my standard poodle. Had just moved to the area and was able to get an appointment quickly when my dog developed an ear infection. Very satisfied that this will be my long term vet!

We live in Key West and at Port of the Islands in the Everglades. We have had the "occasion" to use Marco Veterinary Hospital quite a bit lately! We also use a well known Veterinary hospital in the keys for our dogs as well. Our 2 Scottish Terriers LOVE your hospital....(most of the time), and we love it as well. Very FRIENDLY. Very straightforward approach. You get us in....when you say you will.
There is no long solitary waiting in the examination rooms which is a huge waste of time for some people for no good reason, and you explain what's going on with pets quickly and efficiently. Our only experience so far has been with Dr. Portu.....and she has been EXCELLENT.
