The Pet Pro offers medical, surgical, dental care, as well as full grooming services. Dr. Todd Lykins graduated from the University of Illinois in 1983, and has been caring for cats and dogs ever since! Dr. Michael Boero, board certified surgeon, is available to do surgeries for your furry friends. We have a complete in-house pharmacy and offer price matching on quantity purchases of flea and heartworm products to our clients. Our experienced groomers can provide your pet with a complete grooming, or simply a bath and brush Monday through Saturday!

Dr. Todd is a lifelong resident of the Champaign area. He earned his DVM in 1983 from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. From 1983 to 1998, Dr. Todd managed a number of local veterinary clinics, but missed the true doctor-patient relationship. He elected to focus on one hospital, which led him to open The Pet Pro in Champaign in 1998.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. We have switched to a phone system which encourages text messaging, emails and we can also call you if you request this method via email or text. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.

Dr. Todd examined my 13-year-old dog due to his weakness, as I had to carry him outside for bathroom breaks. Dr. Todd suspected arthritis and prescribed Librela. The results have been incredible—my dog is acting like a puppy again and can run with ease! I also had two of his teeth cleaned under general anesthesia, and the cost was much more affordable compared to the University of Illinois Animal Clinic.
