On May 9,2025 | brought my beautiful healthy 3 year old German Shepherd in to be spayed at Redwood Veterinary Clinic. They have a policy that after having surgery your pet needs to stay over night to be monitored. Overnight, they barely monitored her and didn't have her on IV fluids. When I picked Georgie up the next day she was lethargic, barely able to walk, and breathing very hard. I questioned the young man ,that brought Georgie out to me, but he just shrugged his shoulders and said she was just sensitive to her medication.
I live 2 hrs away from Santa Rosa, by the time I got home she started regurgitating and having even more difficulty breathing. After bringing her to a nearby ER we discovered she had severe aspiration pneumonia and was unable to urinate. The ER doctor said it was clear she had aspirated under anesthesia during her spay and it went unnoticed by their staff. On May 11th Georgie went into Cardiac arrest and died.
We tried EVERYTHING to save her. My heart is completely broken.
Dr Hoskins has yet to respond to my letter I sent informing him of Georgies death and why she died. Not only has the Redwood Veterinary Clinic not taken any accountability, they also have not sent any type of condolences to me or my family.

A great breeder's clinic is available. The clinic is open 24 hours. The staff are wonderful and caring. Prices are fair. The service is relaxed and efficient.

My older Chihuahua required end of life care and I found these individuals to be the best possible option. Dr. Espinosa showed great kindness and his staff provided excellent care for Angel. We made arrangements for cremation and received her remains shortly after. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone involved.

Dr Hoskins is undoubtedly the top veterinarian in the area, without a doubt. We have owned 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs and taken them to see specialists in Marin and SF, only to have Dr Hoskins resolve the issue. He is an extremely intelligent, modest, and brilliant individual who has a great amount of respect and care for both people and animals.

They were amazing! My sis's cat had an abscess and they drained it so quickly. My sister is not 18 so she wasn't able to go in which we hated but understand. The doctor was amazing and kitty is at home chilling.
