Our Staff
Report
Meadville has been home to Dr. Wendi Waid since graduating from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Ohio, Dr. Waid joined Conneaut Lake Veterinary Hospital immediately after graduating from veterinary school. Her career in veterinary medicine has satisfied her compassion to help families and the pets that they love.
Dental Health
Report
T/d is a specially formulated food that promotes healthy teeth and gums. It is manufactured by Hill's Science Diet and is available only through your veterinarian. The pet must actively chew the biscuit form food to achieve proper effectiveness. If the pet does not chew, but rater crunches and swallows the effectiveness is minimal.
Wellness
Report
The doctors here at Conneaut Lake Veterinary Hospital recommend an annual visit for all dogs and cats 6 weeks to 6 years of age. At these visits, the doctor will recommend vaccines as well as provide other services to keep your pet healthy. For our senior or geriatric patients, an examination every 6 months is recommended because they can be prone to serious health problems such as kidney and heart disease. A wellness exam is a physical examination in which one of our veterinarians will thoroughly examine your cat or dog.
Senior Pet Care
Report
Sometimes changes in our older pets are subtle or slow in their onset, so that they may not be recognized immediately. If your pet exhibits any of the following, please discuss it with the doctor. If you get home and would like to discuss any of these topics in more detail, please don't hesitate to call the hospital.
