After graduating from veterinary school Dr. Johnson worked in both private practice and shelter medicine, first in New York, then in Massachusetts. She opened Jamaica Plain Animal Clinic in 2006, after having lived in Jamaica Plain for several years, in order to provide personalized, high quality medical care to JP's pet population.

We offer a $10 credit to your account for each new client you refer! To receive this credit just ask the new client to list you in the provided space on their registration form. If you have your pet spayed or neutered with us by 6 months of age, we offer 20% off the cost of the procedure**. Does not include medications post-operation or additional service requests.

Viggo has been the clinic's self- appointed greeter and snuggle therapist since his arrival at the clinic in 2007. Of course, this new friend would also need to enjoy the clinic lifestyle. Finally, Lewis, an orphan kitten whom one of our technicians had raised from a tiny 3 day-old baby, came into our lives.

We work closely with our clients to help tailor preventative care and treatment protocols to best suit their needs. We love getting puppies and kittens off to a healthy start as well as helping our senior patients stay healthy and happy. We follow AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) and AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) vaccination guidelines to ensure the health and safety of your pet.
