Services
Chemotherapy
Report
Chemotherapy refers to the use of anti-cancer drugs given intravenously, orally, or subcutaneously that will circulate throughout the body to attack cancer cells. With certain types of cancers, such as lymphoma, the first line of therapy is chemotherapy because the disease has a high chance of being present systemically at the time of diagnosis.
Metronomic Chemotherapy
Report
For almost half a century, systemic therapy of cancer has been dominated by the use of cytotoxic chemotherapeutics. Most of these drugs are DNA-damaging agents that are designed to inhibit or kill rapidly dividing cells. They are often administered in single doses or short courses of therapy at the highest possible dosage without causing life-threatening levels of toxicity.
Ultrasound
Report
All ultrasound imaging is done in house. Our ultrasound has digital capabilities allowing easy transfer of data to referring veterinarians, other specialists including a board certified radiologist who is available for additional interpretation if necessary.
Computed Tomography
Report
Computed Tomography (CT Scanning) is an advanced medical tool that is not commonly available in veterinary practices. Computed Tomography is defined as the "presentation of anatomical information generated by computer synthesis of X-ray data into a video display." CT images are made by rotating an X-ray tube around a human or animal while multiple exposures are recorded on an array of X-ray detectors. The X-ray beam is narrow, transversing a very small volume or "slice" of tissue as it moves through an arc of 360o.
