Pet Kare Clinic was established in 1987 by Dr. Sam Taliaferro starting out as a mobile veterinary clinic. Since then we have slowly grown to a 5 doctor full service veterinary hospital. We are AAHA certified and among the top 12-15% of Veterinary hospitals in North America. AAHA certification assures you that the care we provide meets the highest of veterinary standards for the optimal health of your pet.

Dr Paige is a Colorado native with a love for the outdoors and small town living having grown up in Gunnison. Her path to Steamboat took her thru Colorado Springs and then Fort Collins before finding herself at home in Steamboat in 1995. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Colorado College in 1990.

Annual wellness exams are an important part of preventative care for your pet. During yearly wellness exams we get a health history and do a full physical exam to evaluate your pet. Wellness exams are important to find problems that may have gone undetected over the past year such as new growths, dental disease or subtle arthritis.
Housecalls and Homecare

Our goal is to provide the highest quality care with the least amount of stress to our patients. We understand there are many circumstances where animals and vet clinics just don't get along. If your pet gets stressed at the vet, let us come to you! We can do house calls for routine wellness exams and vaccines and for acupuncture and cold laser appointments.
