Equine Veterinary Services was established in 1984 by Stephen D. Fisch, DVM. In the beginning the business consisted of Dr. Steve Fisch, one technician and a mobile vet truck. Business was good and in 1986 Dr. Steve Fisch purchased land and built Animal Veterinary Services hospital. Because the new hospital offered services for both large and small animals, the name was changed to Animal Veterinary Services (AVS). Through strong leadership and client satisfaction, we were bursting at the seams by the late 1990's.

AVS Equine Hospital is a state-of-the-art medical & surgical facility on 35 acres of beautiful rolling hills with stately Live Oaks. Our 26,000 sq foot facility houses the following:. A large digital radiology suite equipped with both a 15ma & a 1000ma xray generator to handle xrays of the entire equine skeletal structure, including hips, chest, and spine.

AVS Equine Hospital is equipped with 2 state-of-the-art surgery suites that were designed with your horses safety and efficient, effective treatment in mind. Our hospital & doctors are equipped to handle general and emergency surgery for equine patients. We have two completely padded induction/recovery rooms to help your horse recover with a minimum of stress.
Internal Medicine

AVS Equine Hospital's Internal Medicine Facility is equipped with the most advanced equipment for providing fast accurate diagnosis and treatment. Our ICU and neonatal stalls are equipped to care for critically ill patients. The two neonatal stalls can be heated or cooled, as needed. Our ICU & neonatal stalls are roomy 18x20 and provide plenty of room for a mare and foal or long-term isolation cases.
