History

NPVC began in the community of New Pittsburg, 8 miles west of Wooster on SR 250. Dr. Richard Wiley and his wife Karen, a registered veterinary technician, purchased a home and building in July of 1981, previously owned by a veterinarian Dr. Harold Appleman who had died in 1976. He had constructed a small 25'x25' building as a veterinary clinic.
For Students
Report
College students are required to send a resume and letter of your career intentions for consideration. This person will be assigned to a veterinarian on a daily basis providing complete exposure to all facets of dairy production, medicine, emergency services and receive a wage. Laboratory procedures: milk cultures, sensitivities, data collection, forage particle separation, BCS, etc.
