Danforth Animal Hospital began in 1981 as the "Downtown Animal Clinic, " in a little red brick building at the corner of 3rd and Broadway in Edmond. The staff consisted of Dr. Ron Laughlin and his wife Nancy. By 1986 the practice had outgrown that small building and was moved to the current location at the corner of Danforth and Chowning. To better meet the needs of our clients and their pets, the new building was designed and constructed specifically as a veterinary hospital. It received a National Merit Award from the Veterinary Economics Magazine hospital design competition in 1987.

Danforth Animal Hospital is proud to serve Edmond, Guthrie and northern Oklahoma City for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Ron Laughlin, who grew up in El Reno.

Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.
