Surgery

More than likely, there will be a time that your pet is going to require some kind of surgical procedure. Many features of pet anatomy are not dissimilar to those of humans, and these internal components can be the recipients of sudden trauma, injury or chronic illness just as human organs can. Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital in Colorado Springs has the experience, skill and dedication needed to take care of your pet’s surgical needs. Our veterinarians are skilled in soft tissue surgery such as spays, neuters, lump removals, foreign body surgery, amputation, splenectomy, and gastropexy.

Wellness

Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital values the importance of annual wellness exams and is a strong advocate for preventative care. Yearly wellness exams help our veterinarian keep pets in optimum health. At our animal hospital, we work together with our clients to customize a pet wellness plan to fit the specific needs of each individual pet. Our veterinarians take into consideration species, breed, age, life-stage, environment, and any other relevant concerns. After assessing the current health of the pet, our veterinarians proceed to offer suggestions for preventative measures, diagnostic work-ups, lifestyle modifications, and nutrition. Rather than only treating a pet that has already fallen ill, we provide a plan that can help prevent issues before they start, so that your pet enjoys a happy and healthy life.

I have had experienced with many vet clinics from Colorado to Florida, and Yorkshire vets is top of my list. My puppy went in for a simple spay, but being a high energy Aussie, she ended up tearing her stitches out not once, but twice! Dr. Scott and Dr. Corina took such good care of her, and kept me informed all along the way when Gracie had to spend the night. they called us the day after she was released to ensure that she was still doing well, and didn't need any further assistance. After having another Aussie with epilepsy, I can appreciate a vet who really cares about their patients!

We had an incredible experience at Yorkshire with our senior cat, Roxy, and our kitten, Malcolm. The vet was patient and informative. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. When I warned the staff that Roxy has quite a bit of anxiety, they took extra care to help her remain calm throughout her visit. We were very pleased with our first appt and will be back for future check ups!

After nearly a year of misdiagnosis by another veterinarian in town, we brought our Lab to Yorkshire on a referral by a neighbor. Unfortunately, it was determined that she had an advanced cancer at our first and only visit. Everyone we came in contact with that day—from the young woman who answered the phone, to the Vet Techs and the Dr. were so kind and compassionate. Sadly, we had to help our Luna say goodbye here at home a few days ago. Today, we received a handwritten condolence card from Yorkshire. I’m so touched that they would go above and beyond in that way for a family that was so new to their practice. We will bring all our future dogs to them without a doubt.

The entire staff was welcoming and professional, and the atmosphere of the clinic as a whole was a dramatic difference from any other vet I've been too. My dog is normally very anxious and concerned at the vet, he was calm during our visit here. We were given an exact estimate of how much treatment would be before we were charged or any treatment was done.

Between my two cats, we've been to our fair share of vets. Until meeting Dr. Scott and Dr. Corrina, I've never felt anyone actually cared as much about my animals as I do. They both really got to know my cats and their issues, making sure we were all on the same page about treatments. And not only are they great, but the vet techs and front office staff are incredibly sweet and go above and beyond anything I've ever experienced. So grateful to have found this practice.

Customer Testimonials

Hands down the best veterinary hospital I’ve been too. Hands down the best customer service as well. Customer service means a lot to me and this place has been nothing but fantastic! Dr Bundy is amazing- and very knowledgeable- he’s taken SUCH good care of my birds and guinea pigs. I love this place and am so thankful.

Was very pleased with the service and everyone is very friendly. I like the attitudes of the receptionists because even when they are busy they take time to acknowledge the pet and smile. The vet was very down to earth and friendly and seemed concerned and knowledgeable. Keep up the good work!

I have been seeing Dr. Scott and Dr. Corina at Yorkshire since 2005 when we first moved to Colorado Springs. At the time, I had a very sick dog that had multiple issues, one of them being Lupus. Not only were they able to handle that, they were also able to improve her life. When she passed away, they were very caring and compassionate toward me and my family. They have since seen us through a few pets. Recently, we saw Dr. Brad for our rabbit neuter. He did a wonderful job and was also very kind, professional, and knowledgeable.
The front desk staff, as well as veterinary technicians, are very professional and caring. They also remember our family by face and name when we come in, which isn't all that often now that we have healthy pets.
The entire staff at Yorkshire are professional, knowledgeable, caring, and all-around outstanding.

I absolutely love this place the doctors are very professional they care and they can relate what's going on.
Beijing and Marley have been in there numerous times healthy or unhealthy and the docs will take really good care of them we just put Beijing down and they did a fabulous job it was so peaceful, sad - they did a great job.

Yorkshire is the best vet ever!!! My kitty was diagnosed with diabetes. This is a very expensive, lifelong disease. Susan helped me find ways to pay for his care and medicine. She also got donated food for his new special diet. I am so thankful for the calls and support. You guys saved my family! I can never say thank you enough!

After our veternarian of 17 years retired, I was really apprehensive to find a new vet! Our dogs are our kids & mean the world to us. I was very happy with our first visit. Everyone was so friendly & helpful. Dr. Corrina made me feel at ease & I could sense her love of what she does. She was very sweet with my Boxer boy & he did SO good for her. I am so grateful that we will have a great place to care for our babies.

My Great Dane Bentley is absolutely my child, I don’t trust just anyone to take care of him. After going to Vet offices where I felt the main concern was money, Yorkshire was a welcome change. Every time I come in I am so impressed how friendly the staff is, I rarely see any business with people that go out of their way to be so helpful and cheerful these days. The veterinarians are always sure to explain things clearly to me and take their time. From the front desk, to the vet techs, to the doctors, everyone here is so knowledgeable and pleasant. They are also great about working Bentley in quickly for appointments when there is a pressing need for him to be seen. I can tell they truly care about my baby just as much as I do and I appreciate the high level of care I get at this office. I will never go anywhere else!

Love this place! Dr. Bundy is amazing! He explains everything very detailed so I understand everything! I feel confident leaving my babies in his hands! He shows compassion and love! I highly recommended him to anyone who is looking for an amazing vet!

Our lab had to have an emergency surgery and Dr Kelly Walsh was able to get us in and do the surgery on a Saturday staying 2 hours past there normal business hours. The entire staff was amazing from the first phone call inquiring about there service and throughout the entire procedure giving us constant updates and piece of mind thank you so much for taking such great care of nutmeg.

On Saturday my wife called about my service dog being injured. Jennifer answered her call. My wife had called many places and was greeted with rudeness. Jennifer greeted her understanding and compassion. They worked us into the schedule. Upon arrival everyone was great and very carrying toward my wife and my dog. They were seen by Dr. Scott. He was great with my dog and understanding of our circumstances. He was reassuring to my wife that everything would be ok. Being a military family we have seen many vets across the country and none have been as compassionate and caring as Dr. Scott and Jennifer!

When our Chesapeake was 2 months old, we brought him in for his second round of shots, though he was scared, everyone at the front desk just loved on him like he was their own! We see Dr Bundy quite a bit for our lab mix and both our dogs love him and feel safe with him. He gets on the floor with them and greets them like their his own! We love Yorkshire and the whole staff, plus the wait to see the vet is very minimal which is always great!
