Services
Woodmar Animal Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, Woodmar Animal Clinic stresses the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off color or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. We need to examine them every 6 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent. Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life. We believe the following tests give us the best chance of helping your pet's live longer, healthier lives.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past. Here at Woodmar Animal Clinic, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet.

Office staff completely useless. I have had issues ordering my flea and tick medicine for the last few years, never in stock and when they finally fill it they don't call you to let you know it's ready. Last time I tried to fill it I was told to sign up for the mail order pet meds, I did that and they still haven't approved it with the company for them to fill the order 2 weeks later.

If you want people to continue to come to your practice do better. This is awful! Just called person said it would be resolved right away, not hopeful. Might need to take my pet elsewhere.

I brought my dog in there Monday because she was having problems with her bladder control and she started bleeding/spotting shortly after which was weird because her last heat cycle was in December. They took blood and a urinalysis Monday (4-25) and called me Tuesday (4-26) with results saying everything came back fine, no infections, white blood cell count was fine, and no diabetes, etc.

They said she was starting to go into heat EVEN though I told them she just finished her last cycle in December. Wednesday she started bleeding more and having more and more liquid just coming out of her and she was very inactive. She ate her food Wednesday morning (4-27) and that is the last time she ate. It's now Friday (4-29) and she is in an emergency surgery because she had a severe infection in her uterus that could potentially erupt.

I asked the veterinarian at the Emergency Vet if it was safe to have surgery while she was in heat, and she said that the blood was just the uterine infection leaking out of her and she's not in heat (LIKE WOODMAR SAID SHE WAS) and they told me her white blood cell count was very low (WOODMAR SAID HER WBC COUNT WAS NORMAL) So because Woodmar didn't check her abdomen and, I'm assuming, read her white blood cell count WRONG, my poor dog has been in pain for a freaking week and is now in Emergency surgery. They misdiagnosed my dog and she literally could have died from pyometra.

Very helpful and kind staff that work here! Had a great experience scheduling the appointment which is usually a hassle for many places. They're always able to answer any questions or concerns you have too, and it's pretty affordable for animal care!

Took my baby kittens Oliver and yuqi because they did not look good to me, they took them in and where in there for a while when they came out the vet said they were in very good health and he didn't find nothing wrong that they were very strong. Sadly my babies past away the very next day. how can he say they were healthy and let me take my babies to die.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I took my new FEMALE puppy in for her first checkup. First off why make an appointment if you have to wait for an hour. So I get in finally to see Doc C. She is feeling the pups pelvis and says. I can't find any testicals. I say well that's good since she is a female. She says NO this is definitely a penis.

I was like NO, she is a female. At this point I am like WTF! I have zero confidence in this place. She after that actually told me to come back next week for puppy shots. She didn't even check the poop I brought in for worms. I mean seriously. Then had the nerve to charge me $54. If you can't sex a dog you should not call yourself a veterinarian.

I will be reporting this incident to the Indiana licensing board. This so called vet needs to have her lic reviewed to say the least. There was a guy in the room helping hold the puppy all 1.7lbs of her. I believe a vet tech when this happened. I forgot his name, however he is a dark haired young man with a rose tattoo on his hand. Even the look on his face was like WTF! If you love your dog think long and hard about seeing this vet Dr. C I think it's for (Carpenter) not sure if that is correct spelling.

Setting my appointment was easy. They took care of my Chandler's shots in less than an hour. Sad it was curbside only but that's covid's fault not theirs. They came out and took my baby and the doctor called me and was very friendly and explained everything to me and asked if I had questions. All in all a great experience, this will definitely be my kitty's primary doctor.

I lost my Luna, she is a Rabbit. And I took her there so she could be cremated. I had called around and the animal hospitals said they only do cats and dogs. They were so kind I really appreciated it.

It sucks that because of COVID the only interaction on the phone is with the very rude receptionist, I remember not having issues with the actual vets and them treating our pets well and liking this clinic but I don't feel comfortable when the lady on the phone had no clue about my pets information and when explaining our visit had an attitude because the last test was in 2018.we were here last month for tests

It was my daughter's cat's first time there. She liked it. Checked out every corner in her room. The assistants were very nice and she liked the vet. The veterinarian was very nice and seemed to like animals. Very informative woman who answered all my questions. She even tried a new trick with our cat which did fail, but, it's understandable since no animal is the same. I'm glad she tried new inventions to distract the animals and make them more comfortable. Will go again.

As a new dog patient I was pleasantly surprised how quickly we got an appointment. The front staff, vet tech and veterinarian were really kind and informative. I know if I ever needed anything they would certainly try to accommodate our needs.

Not sure how you get over an hour behind by 9:30 am, but then to have people with later appointments taken in before you is a bit too much for this new customer. I will be looking somewhere else.

I have never had any problems here. My dog sees Dr. Laura and she keeps him calm while examining him. Dr. Hall sees my cat. My cat had lost some weight and his personality had changed She ran tests because she suspected hyperthyroidism. She was spot on. She gave me meds to give him and he is back to his mischievous self. The staff has always been courteous to me. Their office fees are lower than most in the area. I have been going to their vets for probably 10yrs and have no complaints.

This place has great pricing especially on shots, most of the people were nice the main vet I thought was kind of creepy she just kept staring at me and took long pauses and then the register lady had an attitude other than that I still think it's a okay place

I would recommend this facility to anyone. Dr. Hall is one of the most compassionate and dedicated veterinarians I have come across in a long time. I came to them with a puppy that had become very ill in a matter of ours, they were closest clinic to me. They looked at her immediately, did basic tests although the puppy had to be taken somewhere else due to warranty. The Dr followed up with us as to the condition of the dog and went beyond the call of duty. My dog now has a new place to go for his shots. Fantastic clinic.

I was very satisfied with the treatment my dog received and the professionalism of the staff and Dr. Hall. My beagle was very sick and they saw her on the same day--even as early as 8:30 in the morning! We left there very confident her medical issues would be resolved. I received a follow up call from Dr. Hall the next morning to discuss her course of treatment and I feel 100% confident in her upcoming recovery. Dr. Hall was very knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions fully and she was easy to understand. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is shopping around.
