White Oaks West Animal Hospital

I love this place, the staff is wonderful and always friendly to me and my pet. I have taken Gypsy (dog), Eorye (lizard) and now Sadie (puppy) to this clinic and everyone in the building has to pet the puppy. I am very happy with the service!

I can't speak highly enough on the Dr.'s and staff here! I went in with my best friend thinking I was going to have to make an unbearable decision and she was leaving me, to 24hrs later her bringing me her "baby" (toy), fetching, stealing my Kleenex and eating it to pieces all over the floor. AMAZING - I literally am lost for words. I am sitting here trying to think of a way to word just how compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable, comforting the staff is.

I'm so impressed with White Oaks Animal Hospital. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I have a large dog that can be incredibly fear aggressive, so I'm always nervous about bringing him to the vet. They were so patient with us and I am so pleased that my dog was able to have a good experience. They are attentive to concerns and I didn't have to wait around to be seen (we had an appointment).

Such a huge thank you to Kaylee especially for being such an incredible help with keeping my dog comfortable and cared for. It's makes such a difference to have passionate and caring staff!

Our dog Shiloh is a 12 year-old yellow lab. She absolutely loves seeing her Vet and the techs at White Oaks West Animal Hospital. She gets the best of care from these professionals.

I recently switched my 8 year old cat over to White Oaks West from Capitol Illini and I could not have been more pleased with our experience. Ruby, like most cats, is not fond of leaving the house and has required sedation for previous visits, but Dr. Davis handled her with confidence and skill, allowing us to avoid sedation completely (happy cat mom!) After Ruby's initial examination, a technician reviewed the treatment plan and price estimate with me to make sure that I was fully aware of everything they were doing and everything I'd be charged for. Ruby got a urine exam and an antibiotic injection, and we were out of there in less than 30 minutes! Best vet experience ever!

We can't say enough about how great Dr. McLaughlin and staff are! She is truly the best Veterinarian we have ever had and couldn't imagine anyone being better than her. We are so lucky to have her. Thank you Dr McLaughlin! We have a baby (he's a cat) that has needed extra special care for almost 5 years now with everything from a broken back leg when he was 9 months old, to a congenital heart defect that has made him have Congestive Heart Failure.

Last May (2021) Frodo had an episode where he was very bloated and Dr. McLaughlin stabilized him and sent us speeding up to U of I veterinary school to the Cardiology Dept. They gave us very grim news & said he didn't have much longer to live, a month at most. They kept him overnight and drained the rest of the fluid, including around his heart and put him on some medications that they said would only keep him comfortable until he passed, but would not make him get better.

I am so happy to say that now it is February (2022) and with only having to have one more procedure to drain some more fluid from around his heart about 7 weeks after him coming home, and with some medication changes here & there, Frodo is still very much alive & doing very well thanks to her & her staff and a lot of Prayers too God for the Miracle he has Blessed upon Dr McLaughlin and our sweet Frody too continue to keep him in our lives, against all odds and the prognosis the expert cardiologists from the U of I Animal Hospital in Champaign, IL made 9 months ago!

My puppy had surgery 3 days ago. They explained the procedure and kept me informed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Thought the price was reasonable. Rascal did fine.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. McLaughlin. She has been our veterinarian for nearly a decade and will be until her retirement. (Which I hope is a long time away!) She is the most compassionate, caring and responsive medical professionals I know. She is thorough in her exams, communicates exactly what is needed, does not push unnecessary treatments and is so good to the animals in her care.

I have counted on her to take care of so many of my pets over the years. She treats them as one of her own and her humane as family. I'm grateful for her and only wish she could be a human doctor because I'd switch to her in a second!

Dr. McLaughlin is a wonderful veterinarian. Professional, caring, thorough and sincere. Taking your pet to the vet outside of routine care can be scary and very emotional. Dr. McLaughlin listens, examines, discusses possible issues and options for evaluation and treatment all in a positive and understandable manner. Can she be my doctor too?!

We take our dog and cat here. Our dog has severe allergies and the vets and all the staff have been nothing but kind, patient, and concerned about how to help Frank. They're always upfront about cost of visit when you're in the room, too, and giving you options for treatment with both outcome and cost in mind. We were happy to make our new kitten a "patient" too

Friendly staff and veterinarians. Very caring of the pets. Also careful to follow good Covid-19 protocols. Dr. Hurst was very thorough in explaining my cats condition and recommended treatment.
