The team at Westerville has a diversity of skillsets and a united mission: to make sure your pet receives the best care there is. Dr. Damian Giancola bought Westerville Veterinary Clinic in December of 2014 and brought a wealth of knowledge about emergency medicine and critical care to us. His previous 8 years of experience were with emergency clinics in several areas of the country, including a several year position with a local emergency clinic, where as their chief medical officer, he established the majority of their protocols.
Our extensive emergency and critical care protocols combined with the love and dedication of our staff members are ready to take on almost anything that life can throw at your pets. We are quick to recognize what can wait for surgery vs what requires us to drop everything we are doing and address the patient's needs immediately.
Our clients love us for our membership option. Pet owners pay a low monthly rate, and it covers 100% of the costs of any emergency situations that your pet may experience. The Movement There is a growing movement within the veterinary industry towards the Fear Free model. Fear Free was born from the reality that so many pets undergo significant stress responses during their visit to a veterinary practice. This is difficult for any pet lover to see, and it also impedes good medicine - stress responses alter important biological systems, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature, that are traditionally used to assess the overall health of a pet.This is a growing torch from within the veterinary community that we must prioritize a pet's emotional well-being during their visit.

My cat Gomez has only had bad vet experiences until now. He is the calmest, friendliest, and most agreeable cat I have ever met. But, at the vet, her turns into a demon. Or at least he used to. Our visit to this clinic was nothing but positivity. They got us in so quick as first time clients and our appointment was right in time, the vet and vet tech took the time to listen to my concerns about his anxiety and they worked really hard to make him feel comfortable!
This was the first time I saw him so calm during medical exam. The tech was Jesse and spoke to my boy so sweet and so kind. I unfortunately do not remember the vets name but I appreciated how he listened and was entirely reasonable with me about my cats health. 100% will be coming back, this place rocks!

I usually don't leave reviews but this clinic is the best! My sweet Bella had to get ten teeth pulled yesterday and they took such great care of her. They called my mother and I to give us multiple updates yesterday and it made me feel so much better about the whole situation. Taylor even called just to check up on her the next day to make sure she's good and to see if there was anything her and her clinic could do for my bella girl.
Usually Vet offices just do small talk and get you in and out but not them! You can tell that everyone there truly loves their job. 1,000/10 recommend this clinic to everyone!

This was such a great experience! I called distressed after cleaning up after my sick dog for days and they got me in immediately! We were in and out the door waiting with medication in thirty minutes for a fraction of the price. The vet and vet tech were so sweet and understanding with my sick puppy and he loved them. I recommend this place to everyone!

My German shepherd is very anxious and not the most cooperative! But the office took the time to hear out my concerns and try to get her to trust them. This will definitely be our new go to for vet services. The person that took us back to the room I believe was Taylor she was so sweet! And the gentleman doctor (can't remember his name) really seemed to care about getting my girl feeling better. Thank you!

Dr Horvath and all of the support staff were so kind and helpful. My pup needed to be seen on very short notice and they were able to squeeze her into their busy day and gave quality care. I will definitely be bringing both my dogs back here in the future. They have walk ins on Sundays and accept Care Credit.

I went here in late 2021, with the pandemic setup of dropping your pet off and doing it over the phone. I want to give them some leeway because I know the pandemic is hard. But they were late to the appointment by 20 minutes, and then they delivered a $225 bill, but the vet couldn't talk to me about any of it because he was busy. I have left two calls with their office asking for a basic update on how my dog is doing, which I think should take 5 minutes, but all I have heard is they are busy and don't have time for me.
This is the most expensive vet visit I have ever had, even though my dog is 100% healthy, and I am fine paying a higher rate so long as the care is professional. This one felt like it was performed by college kids at best.

My family has been using Westerville vet for YEARS! Their service is always amazing and they always respond quick, even when it's just a quick question about one of our animals on the phone. The people that work there are always the sweetest and take care of all the fur babies n the household, Including our rabbit, with great prices as well. I always know my goofy boxer Izzy is in great hands when she is at this location. Wish I could give them 1,000 stars!
