Vista Veterinary Hospital It has been an honor to work alongside Dr. Batdorf and her hard work, commitment, compassion and devotion to helping animals will be truly missed. She is beloved by so many in our community and we wish her the absolute best as she embarks on this new chapter of her life. The goal of Vista Veterinary Hospital's doctors and staff is to maintain the health and well-being of your pet.

Using the latest equipment in the gentlest of ways to assess, diagnose, treat and manage your pet's medical and surgical conditions, each member of our highly-skilled staff is superbly trained and dedicated to providing the very best in veterinary care.
Services
As a full-service, state-of-the-art small animal practice, Vista Veterinary Hospital is proud of the goodwill it has generated over the years in the Tri-Cities area. We appreciate that you have trusted us to care for your companion pet, and we never lose sight of the intrinsic value of the veterinarian-patient-client relationship.
Although puppies and kittens receive natural immunity against many diseases from their mother, this protection is short-lived. The veterinarians and their staff are eager to provide accurate information and explanations about new puppy or kitten behaviors, offer practical strategies to prevent problems of developing pets, and advice to correct early behavioral problems.
All members of your family-including your pets-need ongoing wellness care to ensure a long and healthy life. The information taken by your veterinarian at each examination becomes part of your pet's permanent medical history and can be critical if an emergency or sudden illness arises. Abdominal palpation to detect abnormal intestine, kidney, liver or spleen size, as well as detect large tumors from these organs. Any changes in a pet's behavior-their main form of communication with you-is important and should be passed along to the doctor.
Advances in veterinary medicine allow us to help pets live longer than ever before. With an increased lifespan, however, comes an increase in the types of ailments that can afflict senior pets. Pets' age-related conditions and diseases include: weight and mobility changes; osteoarthritis; kidney, heart and liver diseases; tumors and cancers; hormone disorders, such as diabetes and thyroid imbalance; and many others.

Vista Vet Clinic is Top Notch and I am so grateful to have found them to help with caring for my furry friends. From the time I walk in the door and am greeted (often by name!) til I walk out the door with my questions answered and a "game plan" for my pet, I see always professional compassionate care for both me and my pets. All vets, technicians, assistants and reception are especially helpful, patient and comforting during difficult times when my pets have been sick and failing. THANK YOU VISTA VET FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!

My husband brought a stray cat (that we are fostering while we adopt him) with a broken leg and many other issues, and they have provided the best support and care to our cat and us as well. Two other vets checked his leg and told us that needed to be amputated but here the doctor is trying to save his leg. We are so thankful and grateful. All the staff has been very supportive and have shown a lot of love to our cat. The best place ever.

We had such good experiences with Vista Vet, with multiple animals. Now that we're no longer in the Tri-Cities area I wish we could find another vet who is as great to work with as they were.

We have used Vista for all are pets needs since I found them years ago. They have always been very professional, caring, and treated my pets as if they were their own. I would recommend this veterinary to anyone and feel 100%good about it.

I wait on hold for at least 30 minutes EVERY time i call the office. More often than not i end up hanging up angry because nobody answers the calls. They also refuse to answer msgs. Their machine should say "leave a msg and we won't call you back". I would never recommend this place to anybody, not even my worst enemy. It is very clear that they are ONLY in the business for money.

The owners/ management does not care about the needs of their patients; to them we are just a number. That's sad for a small business. The quality of care is horrific and the environment is very uncomfortable. From the initial phone call to checking out it is obvious that these people do not know how to run a business and they don't care to learn. I've never been treated so horribly in a medical setting before. Do not trust them with the care of your pet.

Vista is always amazing. They are always top notch service, people are kind, and every pet they treat like their own. I cannot say enough about them. Just got my puppy fixed and they were truly awesome. Third dog I have taken here.

They really are the best vet around here. They really care about animals. The only downside is that they are pretty expensive, but it is worth it for the best care for your pets. They also did not charge me for a follow up visit for my cat when he felt ill from his shot the next day so that was really nice. They only charged me for the medicine he needed that day.

This is by far the best vet in town! Dr. Michelle Meyer is so the best! She is so thorough and helpful she has been taking care of all 5 of our furbabies for over a decade!

Pricey but great care. They offer both regular services and emergency. Worked with multiple vets and all are caring and take time to help me understand my diabetic dogs health.

Vista Veterinary Hospital has been nothing but great experiences for me for the last 5 years. With my four dogs that all need different things! Dr. Hamack does a great job explaining things and is always helpful! The vet staff is great with my dog aggressive dog as well. I always feel comfortable that they have taken the correct precautions without any sort of negative energy. It's not his fault that he doesn't like other dogs and I feel that they understand and accept him just the way he is.

Yesterday my good friend spent all day waiting for the vet to come to her home to euthanize her ill and elderly fur-baby. At the end of the day there was no vet nor a phone call to reschedule. Nothing. I can't imagine how painful that experience must have been.

I have brought my cat to Vista for the last three years to get shaved. Today was a horrible experience and will be the very last time I ever take any of my pets to this vet. $230 for a "wellness exam sedation shave and sedation reversal" I never asked for or agreed upon a wellness exam. All I scheduled today's visit for was a shave and I knew she would need sedation.

They kept telling me I was showed an estimate when I dropped her off and I WAS NOT. I refused to pay for something I didn't ask for nor did anyone call me for permission. They took the fee off and said they didn't want me to come back. For a mistake THEY MADE. No skin off my neck. Good riddance!

This is the vet we chose for our now 7 month old husky mix. Our first appointment her vet was so worried she wasn't as barky as other huskies and you could hear the concern of abuse towards her. It was honestly very sweet and he got less worried after he dealt with my endless barage of neurotic questions about her health. Her rolling on to her belly during my question period must have helped too Even with the covid restrictions our puppy still loves going to the vet and the staff here has jokes about wanting to keep her. After she got her first shots she felt comfortable enough to roll onto her belly for pets from the vet! Love the place, and we are so glad we made the choice to go here.

These doctors are incredible. My girls have been seen by 3 of the doctors here and they are all incredible. My Raven has actually had her life saved here 2 times (so scary!). I am so appreciative of these folks and grateful for all they do.

They take way too long for my dog to be seen. I have to wait usually half an hour beyond my appointment. Definitely the last time I will be going here!

I have been taking my pets to Vista Vet for the last 10 years. I have brought at least 20 different pets to them despite they being more expensive than other places. I like consistency so therefore I just stayed with them. I have never complained beyond maybe a shocked look on my face when handed the bill. Recently, things took a turn for the worse with my eldest cat.

He is 12 yo and he wasn't eating like he normally does, lost a lot of weight, drinking a lot of water and sleeping a lot more. So I took him in but the vet makes people wait in their car and they come out to discuss issues with the pet and swoop the pet inside and don't let you in. I understand, COVID-19. The whole process is sloppy and disorganized.

But I get it. COVID-19, right? My cat was diagnosed with diabetes despite never being obese. They prescribe insulin shots but are sloppy with ALL details! For example: 1. What is the dosage? 2. How often do I give it? 3. Before or after eating? 4. Under the skin or in the muscle? All they did was call in the scrip to a Walmart pharmacy for insulin ($100) and take my money ($300).

No instructions, no pamphlet, nothing. I have never given a shot to anything. I am not even sure what to do but they say they can't help me by showing me how. I call? They hang up on me! EVERY TIME. I don't think these people know the answers! It's INSANE! I wrote an email asking for the records so I can change vets. Mind you, I PAID for these records. Radio silence. I am DISGUSTED with their behavior during this pandemic. Never again will I trust them.

I truly appreciate the quality care everyone here gives my pets this is not a cookie cutter type of veterinary office. They treat every animal with dignity and respect and really take the time to understand each situation. Everyone here is kind and quite professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough

Dr. G and Dr. Meyer are the most compassionate and thorough veterinarians we have ever had. They took amazing care of our cat in her last days. Dr. G tried everything he could to save her and give her a great last month with us. Dr. Meyer came in after hours to help us say goodbye when we knew Ruckus was in pain and needed to be put down. I can't say enough about the staff and Doctors, they truly care. I would highly recommend anyone take their pets to Vista.

Vista Vet was amazing. I had to put my 17 year old cat down and it was extremely difficult. The staff was amazing and very sympathetic. Dr. Meyer is the best. She made me feel better and my sweet cat was very comfortable in her care. She even put her on a soft pink blanket, so sweet. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

My puppies came home happy and healthy. However, their dog beds were totally loaded with urine. My puppies only piddle on their bedding as a last resort--which means they were not given sufficient nature breaks. I always wash anything--including the puppies if they/it gets soiled. Vista Vet did wash the puppies at the end of a long stay, and returned the beds, smelling to high heavens, in a garbage bag.

I immediately put everything in the 2-1/2 hour power wash cycle, with lots of oxyclean. It's a shame that Vista Vet doesn't pay attention to this rather large detail--don't they have large washing machines?-- otherwise it was a very successful stay.

The absolute best place I have even been. The whole staff is wonderful and compassionate. It doesn't matter what vet you see they are all fantastic. You and your pet are treated with respect comfort and compassion. We have gone hear for 30 years now. I won't go to any other vet. They just recently gave me a extra year with a cat I had with an aggressive form of leukemia. THey let me try a chemo that wasn't supposed to work and it gave me a year I would not have without them. He was days away from having to be put to sleep when we tried.

AMAZING! The staff and doctors are absolutely wonderful. I've had 2 surgeries, broken hip and anal glad removal, and the care and support we recieved was above and beyond expectations. This is the only place I feel comfortable boarding any of my pets. They've care for my senior dogs and puppies.

We were visiting relatives when i had to take my dog into a vet to get his anal glands suppressed. To many treats. They were clean and very professional. I only had to see a vet tech, so i cannot comment on the doctors.

I have always taken my parrots to Dr. Privette at Vista. (Best bird vet for miles around)We already had a Doctor for the dogs and horses. However, our dog vet misdiagnosed my baby girl. We could tell something was still wrong. So, we took her to Dr Privette. He came up with a totally different diagnoses. And, she is doing so much better now :) The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is, they are on the high side of the dollar. However, they are wonderful.

From the staff at the desk to the Veterinary Assistants, all great. Not to mention Dr. Privette, he is smart, caring and professional. I totally appreciated his compassion. I'm a bit of a nervous mom, he was understanding :) My girl is a smushy face breed and they are known to have problems with being put under, .It takes more caution than other breeds. He knew this and had a plan in place for them. Lets say, Dr. Privette will be my dog vet from now on. We are in good hands, I'm sure!

@ Michael C if your dog was will taken care of shouldn't that be the most important. Money is tight for everyone. I always get things in writing. The collar you needed. Pet stores sell them far cheaper then vets. I have never used one on my dogs, why? because they paw at them. Bitter Apple works best. Simply spray a little around not on the wound, you friend will love you more and leave the wound to heal. If your dog is happy when you got he/she home. Then you have had success. A good vet or good kennel is hard to find today!

While we had our main household down in TC, this is where we took our dogs. Staff was always great, from the front desk to Dr. Privette. We got lots of good info all through our first family dog's life. When the sad time came to say goodbye, the entire staff signed a card and sent it to us, which impressed me. Granted, Holly had been going there about 9 years so she was well known and loved there.

When we got two new dogs, the staff was great with them as well. My puppies live up in Spokane and I commute every weekend do to the crazy economy, but I would reccomend Vista to anyone here in TC.
