The staff is amazing, my senior dog felt very loved and welcome there. Special recognition to Dr. Gretchen Carpenter, she was the most amazing, loving and patient vet we could have asked for. We were so lucky to have her! Thank you Village Vet!

When we got a new puppy, we decided to visit Dr. Winston after being referred to him by our neighbors. We have very much enjoyed how Dr. Winston and his office staff treat our pup. During our initial visit/consultation, Dr. Winston took the time to answer all of our questions concerning puppy care. I highly recommend Dr. Winston.

Amazing vet. Dr. Winston is really on his game. Gave us great info for our new furry baby. Very professional and so personable. Look forward to going back. We even got a call after the visit to check on the puppy. Lovely front desk personnel. We are thrilled.

I am extremely fortunate to have come across this place with the little time I had before my kitty was in grave danger with his health. I was not doing well, bawling my eyes out and quite frankly freaking out. Rhonda helped to calm me down and truly make me feel at peace with the situation. Abby thoroughly explained everything in much detail that was going to take place in my cats care there and Dr. Gretchen and Dr. Winston were phenomenal with the care of my cat.

It's not often that in an emergency situation you have doctors who are so compassionate and careful with not only the decisions for your pets, but with us as the owners emotions as we have to navigate difficult decisions for our pets health. Thank you village vet, I couldn't have asked for better help. This will be my new primary care doctor for my animals!

My dogs are not just pets - they are family members! Therefore I am very particular about who provides their care. I have been going to Village Vet for over 12 years now. Dr. Winston is the best! He always takes the time to explain everything to you and gives you numerous options so you can make informed decisions. If you are looking for a vet you can trust, look no further!

Dr Winston seemed okay for our first couple of visits, but on our last visit he seemed bothered by something. We had out kitten in for her 1st shots. He did the shot and then walked out without saying a word. He knew I had questions, but he did not care. Also, they don't seem to have anyone to cover the front desk. When you are ready to pay and leave, there is nobody there. We are taking our business elsewhere.

I used to take my dog to this vet practice years ago, when they were located in Bee Cave. Now, years later, I've moved to the Lakeway area and was pleased to find that Village Vet is still operating in the area. I take my dog and cat here because Dr. Winston is very professional, takes time to explain conditions and options, and is very caring for his patients.

5 stars for Dr. Winston. Took a star off for the receptionists. took my dogs to Dr. Winston a few years ago. I really liked him. He suggested a medication that did wonders for my huge Goldendoodle with hip problems. I am sure he extended his life. I just want to say that I don't think you will find a more knowledgeable vet around. I actually wish he worked on people too because he is better than any of my physicians here!

Just a good guy, loves animals, does not push for extra tests and other $$$$$ ad ons that other vets do. The reason I did not continue with his practice was the two ladies at the front desk. They were rude, second guessed what the Dr. had told me. They basically ignored me and answered phones while I sat there. There were two receptionists and the phone was not ringing off the hook.

One could have helped me and one could have answered the phones. I don't even know if they are still there anymore. They seem to have worked there for may years so I would not be surprised. Maybe we just didn't hit it off.

Dr. Winston is the most compassionate vet I've ever met. He gave my sick puppy the best care I could've asked for from anyone. I regret not finding him sooner. He sits down with you and explains everything in detail and will never make you feel like he's in a hurry. He is a great communicator. I've never met a vet who actually takes a seat to explain everything when your dog is sick.

He is well read, extremely intelligent, and empathetic. His staff is sweet, reassuring, and responsive. THANK YOU Dr. Winston and staff! I am so very grateful for everything you did for me and my little guy. If you want to feel confident that you are going to a wise, competent vet who knows what he's doing, look no further! We lost our cat, and we called this Vet as they were close by. Highly professional, empathetic and courteous staff who were also observing awareness and consideration for Covid 19. They handled our pet with care and respect and we will be using them again for all future needs for future pets. It is rare you find a vet like this, and I cannot praise them enough. I have 1 dog + 2 cats that I've been bringing here for years now. Always a good experience, the staff love what they do & it really shows! And Dr. Winston never rushes a visit; he explains everything in great detail.

I drive from way up North to bring my dogs to Dr. Winston. After my move, I tried to find another vet to care for our animals (at my husbands request) but there is just no substitute for Dr. Winston. Don't let the location or lack of signage fool you - what is behind the non-descript doors is a vet that provides top-notch care, with compassion and understanding.

I absolutely trust Dr. Winston with the care of my babies - his diagnosis have always been spot on and I would highly recommend his practice to anyone looking for a vet (especially if you consider yourself to be very picky).

Exceptional vet and practice. We have been taking our dog here for the past 12 years. Dr. Winston is knowledgeable and responsive to any need our dog has had. We could not ask for better veterinarian care. He is very thorough in explaining all issues and recommended treatments. We would not go anywhere else.

Dr. Winston and his staff are the best. They have seen our pets through health and illness, including the end of our old spaniel's life. Dr. Winston showed tremendous consideration for our old pet and for his people, making a difficult day easier to bear. His combination of thorough diagnostic skill and compassion are very rare.

This is an exceptional veterinary practice. Dr. Winston and his staff are extraordinarily knowledgeable and caring, and have been truly wonderful with our animals. Sadly, Dr. Winston diagnosed a rare cancer with one of our dogs, but we've been told 99 out of 100 vets would never have figured it out. He's that good.

Dr. Winston and his staff are absolutely wonderful! I wish I had found them years ago (even though we previously lived out of state). I took my senior dog in due to a growth in his eyelid and a large tumor on his leg. Dr. Winston provided me with so muchmore information than 3 previous vets had. He did a needle biopsy, chest X-rays and drew blood for lab work (and clipped his nails since he was lying down!) and we were in and out in an hour. He even called on a busy Saturday to say his blood work looked good. We have definitely found our go-to vet!

Our experience with Dr. Winston and his staff has always been great! They are so accommodating and very professional. Dr. Winston truly cares for all his patients, as does Judy and the rest of the staff. He always takes his time and answers all questions without you ever feeling that he is rushing you through. We had an emergency with our puppy last summer and he and Judy came on a Sunday morning and took care of our pet. All of our experiences have been outstanding!

Kudos to Dr Eric Winston and his staff! My puppy got a really bad allergic reaction and I rushed over to Village Vet with him. Dr Winston was about to leave, since they are closed Wednesday afternoons, but he waited for me and within minutes after my arrival, my puppy was so much better! He made a quick and efficient diagnosis, gave him the appropriate injections and explained the reaction and expected outcome to me. Thanks so much to all of you at Village Vet!

We Love Dr Winston and Judy and all the fine folks here! Our Cat Quincy Loves coming for his check ups and he smells like fresh clean laundry after his baths. Thank you for all his care. Quincy has had surgery and routine care with Dr Winston for over 4 years and we are so happy to come every time.

I've taken my many pets to numerous animal clinics in and around Austin over the years, and Dr. Winston and Village Vet are hands-down the best. The staff is amazingly friendly and kind to people and animals alike, and Dr. Winston himself is always friendly, respectful and never judgmental or condescending if your dog puts on a few pounds or shows up a couple of months late to her annual appointment.

On top of all of that, their prices are always reasonable, and I've never left feeling like I've been oversold or taken advantage of. I just can't recommend this place highly enough.

Dr Winston and his entire staff are amazing. Their care is exceptional, not only for the animals but us, the owners. Starting the week of Thanksgiving, our boxer became rapidly ill. The Friday after Thanksgiving, her condition was bad. Dr Winston, Judy and Jordan kept in phone contact with me and even tried to get one of the cardiac specialists to see her before Monday. They were there for us and our fur baby when we needed it.

I've been going to Village Vet Hospital for several years. Dr. Winston, Judy, and the entire staff are amazing. They have your pet's best interest at heart.and you feel it every time you are there. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. When I had to put my beloved 13 year old Lab down, Dr. Winston and Judy showed up at my house. They handled the difficult situation with love and grace and I will never forget their kindness! I feel blessed to have them caring for my animals.

Dr. Winston and his staff are exceptional with their service and care so very much about the animals they take care of. We have been in this practice for the last five years and in all that time, I've only waited once and that was because a dog was brought in with a potential snakebite and needed to be seen immediately! Dr. Winston smiles easily and is always welcoming and up to date on the animal he is with at that moment.

His staff is also friendly and easy to work with! I recommend this practice all the time to friends and newcomers to the area, and I will not take my dog anywhere else! Call them today to set up an appointment!

I can not recommend Dr. Winston and the staff at Village Vet highly enough. Dr. Winston listens carefully and keeps searching until he finds out what's really going on. His treatment is always personalized for each animal (and owner), and he is fair, giving, and honest. He is always available and willing to answer questions - no matter what's going on in his own life.

The staff is also always there for any need, and extremely compassionate. Without the care we received there, our dogs lives would have been much shorter, and much harder. It takes me 30 to 40 minutes to drive to Village Vet, but it's worth it.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Winston and his staff. They are knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, and efficient! We have taken our pets here for over 2 years now and we love them so much we drive all the way from South Austin.

We have followed Village Vet from Bee Cave to Lakeway after their move because we wouldn't want to be without them. After coming from a poor experience at a vet where every shot and procedure was a matter of course (often the bill was where you found out), VV is a refreshing, honest, and amazing place. Their clean waiting room greets you with a few rescue cats that are friendly and playful (meet Linus, you'll never forget him). Vet techs are communicative, helpful and empathetic.

But from the top down, Eric Winston is a rare vet that cares first about his clients and their furry friends. We have three dogs and two cats, and although we may visit more than we might like with aging pets, VV is always friendly, thorough and non-invasive (procedures and shots are cleared with the client *first* unlike many vets - and Winston will level with you if he thinks a procedure is unnecessary - good luck finding that many places).

These folks have good hearts, great senses of humor, and their clients' best interests at heart. In a day in age where the primary concern for many vets is the bottom line, VV is a true diamond (or whichever environmentally favorable gemstone you espouse). If you're currently looking for a new vet or new to this area of town, I'd *strongly* recommend giving VV a call first. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Dr Winston and his staff are awesome. He is very patient and thoroughly explains all treatment options if I bring in a sick dog. His prices are very reasonable, and he does not overtreat when we bring our dogs in for illness or just annual shots. We have used several vets in the Westlake area over the past 20 years and I think Dr Winston is the best all around, and worth the short drive to Lakeway.

Such a bad experience leading to our dog having to see another vet. The vet actually asked me "What do you think we should do to solve this?" We were looking to him for his medical expertise and did not get it.

Dr. Winston treats both our horses and our dogs. Normally I consider small animal vets and large animal vets two entierly different types of vets and I don't like to have a vet that does both, but Dr. Winston does an excellent job on both. Trust me, we've put him to the test! Snake bites, torn suspensories, hot nails, abscesses, torn cruciate ligaments, founder and much much more! He also does farm calls.

I met Dr. Winston accidentally when another person's horse at the barn was colicing. I noticed how attentive, informative and caring he was. So I called him when my horse had some problems. Now all of my animals go to him. He takes time to explain everything. When he uses jargon, he explains it. Dr. Winston gives all the options for treatment and his recommendations.
