What a lovely experience! I spend half the year in NH, and needed a vet for my two cats while in town. Such a warm, welcoming environment-supportive and kind when I forwarded the wrong records (ha!) and the kind of in-office care that really reassures you that the team cares about your animals as much as you do. I have nothing but wonderful things to say, and felt so welcomed when our pet family came in for the first time!

The vets and technicians truly care and have taken great care of my chuauahua puppy and teacup Yorkie. The yorkie has had numerous scares and they're always available to call when she's eaten something she shouldn't or got hurt in some way. They give great advice and have never turned me away when I need to bring her in. Even during covid they took her overnight when she was falling over and lethargic after getting into something she shouldn't have.

They gave her fluids called me constantly with updates and treated her like thier own baby, I will forever be grateful for thier reassuring words and not judging me for what happened.

I am so very thankful for the staff, and the incredible caring you and your familiar receive when having to go through a loss. I've had to let 2 of my elderly familiars go, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I just cannot say enough about this hospital. Thank you for being such amazing, compassionate humans!

This used to be my go to place in cases of emergency, but that changed this week. My 3 year old French Bulldog sustained a devastating spinal injury while outside playing and could not move any of his limbs. This also affected his breathing. I rushed him there and held him wrapped in a blanket while the receptionist seemed to be making small talk on the phone.

She never acknowledged my presence. After several minutes someone noticed us and took him in right away. He had to be stabilized and they made it known that they were closing at 7 and he needed to be out by then. I was finally told that he needed to be rushed to a neurosurgeon 1.5 hours away. I was told to hurry as his oxygen level was very low. They basically loaded him in my car and washed their hands of him.

I frantically rushed to Maine trying to comfort my boy as he struggled to breathe. He passed as I pulled into the parking lot. Fortunately the staff in Maine rushed out and intubated him and brought him back, only long enough to for me to hold him and say goodbye. That was the only compassion I was shown that day. I never even got a follow up call or word of sympathy. I must say that a previously had great care from this facility with two animals years ago. Things have changed and I will not be back

It was a sad day to us, but they did a very good job, they did their best, helped us in everything that was possible. Amazing people work in this place. It's not expensive as well, good price. Thank you for all help and support. May God bless you guys.

I BEG YOU DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE THEY WILL LOSE THEM IN THE WOODS AND DO NOTHING!!!!! THEY LET MY DOG RUN OVER A MILE AWAY FROM FACILITY HOURS AFTER ACL SURGERY. On October 14, 2021 only hours after the surgery I received a call that my Lab got loose during his “nighttime bathroom break” and they could not find him as he had run away. Their story is that the leash broke and he ran away.

My husband and I live 1.5 hours away from the facility and had to get in the car and drive there, an hour and a half away wondering if we are coming home with our dog. Each time we called for an update as to WHERE OUR DOG WAS, the staff was extremely annoyed as if we were bothering them - they even told me to “hold” as they were euthanizing another dog - AS IF I CARED IN THAT MOMENT ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE - YOU LOST MY DOG.

We get there finally after the worst drive of our life and we need to BE DRIVEN to where the dog ran - that is how far he got, over a mile and through a stream. If he had taken a left turn, he would have ran into the highway. Long story short we went home with our dog. We got NO discharge instructions and they did not clean the wound after being in the woods for 3 hours - we spent the whole next day at another emergency facility where they then cleaned the wound, put him on more meds for infection, and replaced a staple because VESH was too careless to check before they sent us home after what they put us through.

When I called VESH the next day to figure things out, I was told to QUOTE “control my emotions.” I truly do not have words for the absolute carelessness of all these people that work here, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY they care for animals. They preformed a major surgery on my dog, lost him in the woods, and we have NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. They refuse to talk to me or my husband and did not do anything to compensate us - they may say they gave us a percentage off of the surgery, but for the trauma and additional appointments and rehab we had to go through, there is no price for what they owe to me and my family. It’s worth it to mention the thousands of dollars we paid for the surgery covered 2 sets of recheck X-rays and rehab appointments - we had to go pay thousands elsewhere while this money sucking “vet” took our money.

This place really should not be in business. It is a embarrassment to vets everywhere- please do your pet and whole family a favor and do not take them here, you will be absolutey traumatized. I BEGGED the office manager Jen, who hung up on me and was the one who told me to control my emotions, to get a fence put into the facility with the thousands of dollars we basically donated to them.

I BEG YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. Doctor Lampman performed the surgery and not once checked on us. We were never checked on by anyone, so their whole “we make sure you don’t feel alone after surgery” speech they give you is absolutely bogus. It is nearly three months later and I am here in tears writing this because I still cannot believe these people think it’s okay what they put my animal through. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!!

Christmas night our pup needed to be seen. When I called I was told it would be about a 2hr wait and it was exactly that. The vet tech and Veterinarian were very caring towards Marshall, very patient answering questions. I feel we received good care. Cost is more than a regular vet but considering the ER it was reasonable in my opinion.

I took my chocolate 9year old lab to Vesh, she had injured her knee and everyone there was wonderful Dr Lapham(sp)explained the options, techs were great , desk girls were great and helpful even with the insurance forms. And my dog is doing well. Thank you Vesh, it’s not easy having a pet injured or sick but you all made it better for us. You will always have my recommendation.

My cat was struggling to urinate which can can be life a threatening condition (bladder blockage). I called them and the woman on the phone was very helpful and supportive. She confirmed that my cat's condition was serious and encouraged me to bring him in quickly. They are not allowing people inside the office right now due to Covid, but when I arrived they came outside to pick him up and whisked him off.

The vet examined him and called me back with an update of his initial thoughts. The vet was very patient and informative. He took the time to explain the situation to me and the possibilities. Luckily, my cat's condition was serious but did not require emergency surgery. The gave him medication and fluids and monitored him for a few hours to collect a urine sample and take a look at his bladder.

When it was time to pick him up, they gave me a lot of guidance and information. I felt very reassured that the medication they sent him home with was the right plan. I highly recommend the Veterinary Emergency and Surgery Hospital for any of your pet emergencies. The staff was great and very professional. I would trust then with my pets if we have any emergencies in the future. Thank you!

We had to take our German Shepherd in for a laceration on her leg. Thankfully we called them, they were the only clinic that could get us in for a less severe emergency on a Saturday night. We're really thankful for that and the staff was so incredibly nice and efficient, our girl was well taken care of and we were really happy with them. We were taken care of quickly and I'm really happy we were able to go here, I had never been before but I'm impressed! Freya says thank you guys!

Our cat became very sick overnight and we brought her here. Every single person I came in contact with here was extremely kind, compassionate, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Our girl ended up needing emergency surgery. While that was a scary thought, a majority of my worries were put at ease because I trusted the care she was in. Before proceeding with surgery, I called other clinics to compare costs and this facility ended up having the lowest rate of them all. Lower costs and higher care? No brainer! Thank you to all of the staff that helped my sweet Raisin!

We had to bring our 18 year old Himalayan cat (Lily) in on Sunday morning because she was no longer able to walk. We knew that this was probably the beginning of the end and it was heartbreaking. The level of compassion and professionalism shown to our family by the staff was incredible. We did end up having to have her euthanized four days later and once again the staff was so amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for treating our girl like your own and giving us comfort.

My boy Newman had surgery on January 13th to have a teriyaki stick removed from his intestines. I was so nervous but everyone was very kind and comforting. Dr. Lampman was wonderful. He explained everything and let me ask many questions. We had to go back a few times to be checked because Newman wasn’t feeling that great and every time we went there he was so excited to see the staff!

They were all so great with him. Jen at the front desk is wonderful! She called a few times to check on “our boy” and was very helpful with all the questions and concerns I had. I highly recommend VESH!

I can’t thank the staff at VESH enough for taking such good care of my kitty, Chuck, during the scariest experience that I’ve had with her. i brought her in late at night with a UTI, and later found out that she has kidney disease. I was so worried that I would lose my sweet old girl. the staff at VESH made sure to give her the best meds and treatment that they could offer. they kept me updated every step of the way, and humored me when i wanted to come in and visit my girl multiple times a day. after 2-3 days, Chuck is back home and back to her happy, cuddly, spunky self. i would recommend VESH to anyone with an emergency situation, for any animal. thank you so much for getting my baby better and making sure that i had all of the information and resources to give her the best life that i can with her diagnosis.

I've been to VESH more times than I would like to admit, and the doctors and vet techs always go above and beyond for my animals. There is an emergency hospital closer to my house than VESH, but these guys are worth the 40 minute drive. They listen to my concerns, and give me the best plan of action for whatever the situation happens to be.

Willow, our Portuguese Water Dog ingested a small dog ball. We followed directions to induce vomiting but the ball did not show up so we brought him in to VESH. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Diffell examined Willow initially and I was very impressed. He was kind and provided an overview of our next steps very clearly. VESH arranged an ultra sound with Dr Gerrod which confirmed that the ball was in Willow's stomach. Dr. Lampman was able to remove the ball without surgery using and endoscope! Our dog was home late that same evening and is recovering really well. I won't hesitate to choose VESH for pet care in the future. Definitely worth the drive.

We've been lucky enough to be apart of the VESH family since Jackson's first night home. We have never had such an amazing experience with such a large group of people day or night. Thank you so much for taking such just care of our golden doodle, he loves you all!

VESH is a wonderful place to bring your animals. I have been there for routine vet visits as well as in times of crisis. Their staff is professional and caring. They take the time to explain every situation and to answer your questions. They are expensive, but the quality of care they receive is worth it.

Your staff took wonderful care of Bianca! We were so distressed on a holiday weekend when she got into something and was going downhill fast. You calmed our nerves and made sure she was nursed back to health. Will recommend you to my friends!
