This animal hospital is absolutely wonderful! They are the only local place that will take in reptiles, and the vet is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable!

Growing up my parents have always used Albany Animal Hospital for the pets we had growing up. When my husband and I got our dog almost 6 years ago. I knew exactly where to take him. They have always had the greatest customer service. They treat your animals like they are their family.

I have 11 animals. Yes, ELEVEN! Lol :) 4 dogs, 7 cats. We have been going to Albany Animal Hospital for past 7 years. I live 40 minutes away. Though it's not really far. It's a bit w/gas prices. Point being, I will make the drive. I love Dr. Glaze & Dr. Spangler! My pets & I, have always been treated with respect, care, compassion & kindness. They do not try to up-sell or push unnecessary products/procedures.

They take time to give pros/cons to different options. They've always explained things & taken their time to answer questions. Dr. Glaze saved our cat, Red! He took time to call us, personally, to give updates on his condition. He checked in on Red & called us on his day off. Dr. Glaze also saved my dog, Nora. So, he will always be in my heart! Dr. Spangler is so kind & easy to talk to, professional & is great w/my cats! Dr. Spangler also takes time to answer questions & explain things. Doesn't make me feel I'm being rushed. Thank you for always working to give best treatment/services to myself & my fur babies! :)

It was the Best! Had to bring my dog in late and they accommodated me very nicely! All the employees and Doctor so friendly made my dog as well as myself very comfortable. Very reasonable on price for a late appointment and the service they gave! I'm hooked for sure.

I had my first appointment with the staff and Dr. Fletcher for a snake. As one of those hypochondriac pet owners who is super picky about how a clinic makes me and my pet feel, I would absolutely recommend this clinic. Every staff member I came in contact with was personable and genuine. Dr. Fletcher answered and talked through all my concerns in a way that I left confident in moving forward with care and knowing I have back up when needed. Keep on keeping on with what you guys are doing, because you're doing it well!

We cannot thank Albany Animal Hospital and specifically Dr. Fletcher enough for his kindness and compassion. Our sweet pup had two gashes in her side and after being turned away from every emergency vet from Eugene to Tualatin for staples/sutures we decided to leave a message with our vet, Dr. Fletcher, who promptly called us and told us to meet him at the clinic.

When we arrived, him and his wonderful 3rd year vet student were able to clean and staple our little girl up in a matter of minutes and send us on our way with the peace of mind that she was well cared for. If you want a veterinarian that truly cares about the well being of your furry family member, Dr. Fletcher and the others at Albany Animal Hospital should be your first choice.

We love all the staff at Albany Animal Hospital. They do a great job of prioritizing pet health while also being open about costs and options. Their business model prioritizes care over profit. Their current call in system for covid requires a little patience, so set your brain to 1995 and prepare to hit "call" a couple of times. We just put a pet down who has needed pretty frequent care over the past 2 years, and the amount of care and empathy they showed in all areas as we've gone through that process was a really big (positive) deal.

I had called the animal hospital on a friday asking for deworming medicine for my cat, she was on records before and i've gone there to get her fixed. i expected no problems, i came on monday to pick it up and the staff did not recall me calling. im very upset i've had to wait over the weekend for a prescription from the vet just for them to forget about my call. they could've at least apologized. they did not own up to forgetting and acted like it never happen even though i have our exact call and time period of call logged on my phone. extremely rude and unprofessional staff.

I've been coming here for years and they're exceptional providers but unfortunately they've gotten so much more expensive then everyone else that I just can't afford them anymore.

I am so grateful for this place. The first time we enrolled here was for the reviews and the doctor gave us a very long consultation that was detailed and great. We got my puppy micro chipped and up to date on shots. The second visit was urgent, as my puppy overheated from the changing weather and my mistake of too long a walk and such. They got me in immediately despite a fully booked day.

They were SO responsive and professional and did not blame or shame me for my pup getting dehydrated. They did blood work and IV for him and he was totally fine and Dr. Spangler was phenomenal and walked me through everything. Can't go wrong going here, the prices are completely reasonable too and I'm so thankful for their attentive care to my puppy!

Wonderful veterinarian services! Dr. Ken Fletcher has been our vet for many years. He and his wonderful staff are fantastic at what they do and genuinely interested in the health and well-being of our animal family members.

The prices at this Veterinarian is extremely high compared to others. They charge you so much just for a simple visit, and then charge you extra if you want to use debit or credit cards. Some of the staff treats you like you're an idiot, when all you're trying to do is understand what they're trying to say, and explain to them what's going on with your pet.

When trying to get help for my cat, they called me three different times changing their minds on how they wanted to proceed with treatments. once that happened, I left their practice and now take my cat elsewhere, with higher quality care, and affordable prices

Love this place! They always take such good care of our fur babies! And try and squeeze us in on last minute nail trims. They even did a couple last minute catch up vaccines for us in order to have our pups stay for a weekend, when our house sitter fell through! I am so grateful for such a well run and friendly establishment!

Just started taking my kitten here and I'm thankful for a place with helpful, kind techs and vets. I would definitely recommend!

My dog has been having pain issues and has had to have numerous visits in the past 2 months. Dr. Fletcher and Dr. Sara have been amazing working with us to help get him better. I'm grateful for the caring staff at Albany Animal Hospital!

I have been seeing Dr Fletcher for my Pets needs since 2000. Not only has he been knowledgable for Dogs, cats, but also our bearded dragons. I owe this empathetic man a great deal. When my furbaby Ziggy was dying on the weekend after hours, he came in after hours and opened the facility for us. He also took a myriad of calls to comfort us and answer questions while the emergencies continued.

The staff is friendly and always make the effort to get you helped and seen as quickly as possible. They carry special prescription foods and refill prescriptions in a timely manner. Nobody else that compares. Thanks all

Both vets are absolutely amazing! The staff is very friendly! They really make you feel that they genuinely care for your pet! Honestly, this is the best vet clinic I have delt with and I have been to dozens in Oregon! I highly recommend this vet office! Just make your apt in advanced they really only allow walk in emergencies.

Dr Fletcher is the best vet I've ever had for any of my animals. He takes the time to listen to concerns and is open minded about treatments. He played with my dog quite a bit before examining her because she was nervous. I don't always see vets do this and I think it's really important. Dr Glaze is soft spoken and very nice as well and treated my cat gently with her tooth issue.

This was the only time I've ever seen him and I really liked him. I will (and have) recommend AAH to anyone who needs a lower cost than most, professional and quality veterinarian service. The receptionists do their best to try and give you appointment options and fit you in however they can. Everyone there obviously loves animals and treats them like their own.

I brought my dog in for a neutering and dewclaws removal after I was quoted over phone that it would cost around $425 total (with $45 IV bag). After the procedure when I went to pickup, they hit me with a bill for $534! What a ripoff! The additional costs were for clean towels, 30minutes of surgery prep, the 2x antibacterial swabs they used, medical waste disposal, and morphine. Things you would expect be part of the total cost in neutering and dewclaws removal. Nope these were additional costs.

When you ask for an estimate, you expect it to be close to it, not $109 difference! Just a completely unacceptable way to do business. When I first went there to be a new customer and have my dog examined, what should have been a 20 minute thing ended up being an hour long as the vet was late getting back from his lunch bike ride, quizzed me about everything possible that could kill a dog, then lifted his shirt to show a mole on his ribcage stating he thinks it's a tick and he might have lyme disease. WTF!?

The technicians never introduce theirselves or talk to you respectfully with "yes sir". They act distant and don't listen. Then the tech takes 2 minutes trying to train my dog to lay down using canned cheese. All I'm thinking is "why are you wasting my time?" I asked for a microchip from the vet, he then leaves and has the techs do it instead.

Then they just left me in the exam room not telling me we were done. I figured it out and just let myself out. Absolutely no courtesy! I won't be returning because of the surprise over charge, and the lack of interpersonal communication. Not a cheap or reasonably priced vet. $425 was already higher than I would have paid at my last vet for the exact same procedure, but I went here only because a friend recommended and this place was literally 3 blocks from my home.

Last time I had the same procedure done at my old vet for my other dog it only cost $379. Neutering and dewclaws and the meds for post surgery. As for the procedure itself - my dog was fine. Came out normal, no issues with anethesia changing his personality, so at least that was done right. The bandages and stiches stayed in fine and he healed up with the antibiotics they provided.

My little weiner dog Ginger had an emergency leg/back issue that needed to be dealt with and the staff at Albany Animal hospital got me in the day I called. They gave her appropriate meds and took an X-Ray. Dr Glaze made sure to be extra gentle and always soft spoken and kind (to me and her)! I've always loved coming here and appreciate the staff more than they know!

I first met Dr. Glaze and the Albany Animal Hospital staff when I started fostering a dog from SafeHaven. We were in their office every two weeks for several months trying to find a diagnosis and treatment. We quickly transferred our other dog's care to his office, even though it meant a 30 minute drive every time we needed to go to the vet. They are worth the drive!

Our foster dog had an autoimmune disorder that was very hard to treat and Dr. Glaze did everything he could to help her get better. He always explains everything really well and makes sure all of my questions are answered. He is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent, patient, caring, and compassionate. You can tell he really loves animals. Most recently, we brought our dog in and she was having really odd symptoms and progressively got worse.

I felt so much better knowing she was in his hands. He was very thorough checking for anything that could be causing her symptoms and explaining everything to us. I brought her home today and she is back to her normal self already. All of the vet techs are amazing! They call and check on our dogs after they've been seen. They are patient and answer all of my questions, return my calls quickly, show my animals so much love, and are always so friendly.

They are all so knowledgeable and caring. I couldn't ask for a better vet office. I highly recommend them! I've convinced two coworkers to transfer their pets to the clinic and they couldn't be happier!

We have two mini Aussie puppies that we take to Albany Animal Hospital. They recently hired a new vet who we now use. Dr. Burright phenomenal! She is great with both the dogs, and gives detailed explanations for her reasoning. It is very helpful and informative. The prices are also fair. Overall very pleased! Pleasant experiences with neuters, check ups, and vaccinations. Side note: While in the hospital today an animal was rushed in unannounced, and the team handled the situation promptly and professionally.

We've been taking our dog Wash there since we got him two years ago. They've always been great. They take good care of Wash and they are always friendly and happy to see him when he goes in. It's about $30 for a regular visit which seems reasonable to me. I've never priced elsewhere because we've always been happy here.

I have had my animals treated at the Animal Hospital for nearly a decade. They are very compassionate and kind. My favorite doctor is Dr. Glaze. He's smart, and is so compassionate for the animals and the owners. Dr. Burright is new, but also seems very knowledgeable and sweet. They are all budget conscious, which is helpful, especially in multiple pet households.

Absolutely love Dr. Glaze and Dr. Fletcher. They are both very knowledgeable and great with our three dogs. We typically see Dr. Glaze as our regular vet and he explains everything and gives us different options and suggestions for treatment of ailments. The rest of the support staff are wonderful too and have taken the time to get to know our animals, even our shy Lab, has warmed up to them.

One of the best experiences my family has had in a LONG time. Dr. Fletcher really took his time with our bunnies and my two kids. He really knows his animals, and is a genuinely nice person. We got a list of places to go play tourist to top off the visit BECAUSE we drove 50 minutes to this clinic. WHY you might ask? Their prices for rabbit spay and neuter was $200 cheaper than locally! The drive was WORTH it!

I have brought my dogs and cat here for about eight years. Both Dr. Fletcher and Dr. Glaze are great veterinarians. They're very knowledgeable and friendly, and they both do a great job explaining what is going on with whichever of my pets they're working with. The technicians are very nice, and are great with all of our animals! Also, the receptionists are very accommodating to my schedule and are understanding about rescheduling appointments.

My only complaint is that you have to pay the full cost of the visit and any tests/medications at the time of the appointment. However, they do take CreditCare. Overall, I highly recommend this office! Everyone is very professional, knowledgable, and nice.

We have been bringing our Boston Terrier "Sadie" to them for over a year and not only do we love Dr. Glaze and the staff at Albany Animal Hospital. But, since we have moved out of Albany we now travel from Portland for our exams, just so we can continue our relationship with them. Our Boston has had after hours emergencies where we needed assistance and although the office was not open, they answered our voice mails and told us what we should do.

Not only do they do their best to assist you in finding the care you need, but while we were traveling in Florida our dog got ill and we needed medication that we could not access immediately from the vets over there. We expressed our concern to our vet in Albany and they sent a prescription all the way to Florida for us at no charge. Honestly its impossible to find that kind of service anymore! Which is why our Sadie and the other family dogs will continue to be regulars at Albany Animal Hospital. Thanks Dr. Glaze!

We've gone to Dr. Fletcher for both our hedgehog and our miniature chicken. Our experiences have been amazing. We're both students, and Dr. Fletcher has cut us price breaks everywhere. He has come in after hours for emergencies with no complaint. And when it sadly came time to put down our hedgehog, he did it humanely, kindly, and then didn't charge us anything, even though it was an emergency visit after hours.

With our hen, he treated us with absolute respect and with just as much care and concern as would be afforded to a dog or cat. (This is unique with vets, some of whom see exotics and especially "farm" animals as being less worth the effort or time). He's a great guy who provides great care. We'll be very sad when we leave the area and Dr. Fletcher behind.
