Used this vet as it was closest to our new home in Blairsville. The Drs have always been very good but the problem is the scheduling, or their ability to over schedule. Time spent here due to these scheduling issues is absolutely maddening! Even rechecks, get backed up due to the desk workers not scheduling properly. Bad thing is, almost 90% of the time my appointments are made early and they manage to screw up scheduling badly very quickly so even a "first thing" appoint doesn't have you out of there before lunch. Then, after all this, checking out is another "special" time as this is the most painful part, another wait to pay the peeps after waiting at an empty window until someone decides to come over and work that position. Search elsewhere unless you love inefficiency.

I recently moved to the area, and relied heavily on online reviews for finding a new vet for our pets. This clinic rated well, and had availability, so I gave them a fair shot. Full disclosure, they operated with numerous COVID protocols which did not bother me. I just wanted anyone reading this review to understand that most communication is done through plexiglass or via phone, and you most likely will not be allowed into the building.
My first visit was to get our dog's rabies vaccine updated, and it resulted in me waiting for almost an hour outside in the wonderful Georgia heat. I was told that the reason for my wait was due to an emergency with another pet. I am understanding that things happen, but was angered that no one let me know earlier that my appointment might be delayed.
The second visit was to get temperament reports for our cat and dog to fulfill the requirements of registering them as emotional support animals. This visit actually went smoothly, and I was done in roughly twenty minutes. My last, and very final visit was to get a stray cat we found vaccines and boosters. I was given an appointment for mid afternoon, and showed up ten minutes early.
I checked in, and was told someone would come out to the car to get the cat shortly. After waiting twenty five minutes for someone, I went back to reception and was given the excuse of another "emergency", and that someone was coming out immediately to get our cat. I waited ten more minutes, watched a tech walk out, and then get stopped by another waiting couple.
I waited for their conversation to end, expecting the tech to finally come get our cat. She instead turned around and went back into the building. That was the last straw, and we left without saying a word. Customer service is the single most important expectation I have when dealing with a business of any kind. The clinic had no problem in calling my three times in one day when they kept forgetting to fill out things on the paperwork, but couldn't call me once when I was in the parking lot waiting well beyond my scheduled appointment time.
This last episode happened almost a month ago, and no one ever called to follow up with an apology for the situation, or to even give me some B.S. about more "emergencies" postponing my visit. The fact that they didn't kill my animals is the only reason that I gave them two stars. The customer service, and respect that is given is just absolutely horrid though. I immediately changed clinics when I got home, and strongly encourage anyone looking for a new vet to save yourself the trouble, and avoid this one.

I had to rush my sweet fur baby Jazzi here. Everyone was very kind an gentle. Our beloved Jazzi Bear went to heaven. the doctors an staff were very kind which means more then words can say. My heart is broken over Jazzi. But She got the best care ever. I would highly recommend Union County Vets. Even people should go here for help. U would get treated like a star. I'm very thankful for all everyone did. I don't speak these heart felt words lightly. I'd give them 20 plus Stars
