This clinic has seen our Cane Corso, Vita, since she was 8 weeks old for her routine shots and spay appts. They've also cared for Vita's Cranial Cruciate Ruptures where the staff helped us connect with a larger surgery center who could handle our 126 lb. baby's surgery. In all of our visits, I have found the staff and Vet to be knowledgeable and genuinely interested in Vita's physical and mental health. Tejas has been friendly and professional every step of the way.

I took my dog in for a dental exam/cleaning and the staff here was excellent and thorough. They took the time to explain everything. Drop off and pick up was easy. My dogs teeth were pearly white again and he didn't seem to have any issues with the whole process or anesthesia.

Yesterday I went to this clinic with my friend and her mom to put down my friend's childhood pet. We've been through the euthanization process before recently and at a different vet clinic, so we were expecting the same type of procedure with the IV placed within the pet's arm with three different shots given through the IV gradually for the pet to be calm and comfortable before passing with the final dose of the third shot. However, as we waited in the patient room, going through the paper work process and expecting the pet to be placed with an IV, we were confused as to why he didn't return with one. Dr. Perkins had came to the room prior to this and wasn't receptive to the situation at hand and gave us a cold response as if we didn't already know the grim details of this sort of process. So, the vet tech came in with the doctor and the vet tech had to man handle this cat as Dr. Perkins shaved his arm and put a single dose of a pink shot into his arm, immediately killing him.

I have known this cat for years now and he's the most sweetest, friendliest, most chill cat I have ever met, but during this process he was screaming and scared before his last moments. We were too stunned to protest or to ask why they had to do that to him but it was over within seconds, not even giving us time to be with him to comfort him before this process had to be done.

No pet should be scared, fighting, and crying during their final moments and their pet did not deserve this kind of horrible treatment. The worst part is that Dr. Perkins asked if we wanted to be with him after he passed as if we had a choice. Worse yet, he said "if you see twitching, he's not really alive" as if we're completely unaware on how this process works.

Totally disrespectful and cold responses since we came into the vet under his care and for us just to be hastily leaving as the vet tech haphazardly placed my friend's now passed childhood pet within his carrier for us to take him home. Unless you want your pets to be treated as if they're not family and just an after thought, please consider going to Dr. Perkins because he'll be sure to treat them as if their wasting his time in his very own profession that he chose to be in!

I went here for a second opinion after my dogs regular Dr. did not communicate well or offer less expensive options. The Dr was great, sympathetic and realistic about the outcome for a 10 year old dog. Prices were reasonable

Dr. Hubert is the best. Did surgery for my huskies knee. Usually in & out without problems. Some nurses judge if your dog is eating properly and they always check the weight. I feed my doggos good. I can't force food down their throats. But I take their recommendations. I just stuck with how I normally feed them and often times they leave their food because they're full.

They have automatic water. They work with you on price also. If you can pay most of it and make sure to pay the rent later they can help. I was worried about surgery here but they did an amazing job. No complaints and they are sometimes busy so try to set an appointment. Walk ins can take forever to be seen

I have been bringing our fur babies here for many years. Our pets have always had the best care here. Everything is always explained perfectly. Seems that the "extra" mile is always taken. I am forever grateful for the excellent care we receive each and every visit. Thank you so much!

They were wonderful! They allowed me to leave my cat overnight so that they could do the surgery the next morning. Once she woke up from surgery, they sent me a text to let me know how she did. I picked her up that afternoon once she was fully awake. They sent me home with pain medication for her. What really impressed me was that they called today to ask how my cat was doing. You can tell that they really care about your pet. I highly recommend them. Their price was so reasonable also.

We needed to get our pug puppy neutered. We normally use another vet closer to our home, but they weren't able to get us scheduled for a couple months. They recommended Tejas so we used them. I'm so glad we did. The check in/drop off process was great. Gloria was very friendly and informative, and offered her opinion on the procedure when asked. I really appreciated her honesty.

The price was reasonable as well. The thing I liked the best was that they texted when my pup went in to surgery and again when he was in recovery giving me updates. I liked that because when your fur baby is at the vet, and you see the vets number on your caller ID, you panic just a little bit thinking the worst! If our regular vet is ever unavailable again, Tejas will be our backup!

My cat Mango was spayed yesterday. She has not shown any signs of having gone through surgery. She is eating, sleeping well and even playing with her 2 dog siblings. The surgery, in my opinion, was so well done because Mango is not exhibiting any signs of pain or discomfort. She is acting her normal self. She is resting comfortably

I decided to take my dog, Dakota, to a different Vet, Tejas Vet, because she was suffering from a skin infection. The Vet assessed the issue, prescribed medication, a different medicated shampoo, and followed with a phone call in three days. The improvement was immediate and the improvement was 90% within two weeks. The fees are very reasonable, and the attention to the issues are great.

The staff and the Vet are very attentive and professional. With the appointments, the waiting time is very minimal. I highly recommend and thank everyone associated with Tejas Veterinary Clinic. F. Rivera

The staff and doctor Hubert are great. Everyone is friendly and you can tell they are happy to be there helping customers and their pets. They saw us on very short notice Monday afternoon and were very very affordable considering my cat had several shots and was sent home with antibiotics and steroids. Give them a visit when you are in need!

Dr. Pancho is great. He is not there all the time now but if you can get a time when he is in you will be satisfied. The staff is friendly and are helpful. The other vets that work here do a great job. There is one vet that is afraid of dogs and wants to put a muzzle on them and that doesn't make the dogs happy. Even though that vet does a great job o try to avoid if i know that is the one on duty that day. I have boarded 2 of my dogs there several times and they have reasonable prices and thr dogs are always cared for there.

Tejas Veterinary Clinic saved my little Annie. She was at another clinic and was miss-diagnosed. We initially took Annie to be boarded with Tejas and ended up finding out that she had congestive heart failure and not "heartworms" as previously diagnosed. The Tejas Doctor called me, while on vacation, relayed Annie's symptoms and recommended immediate treatment.

I have to admit, when I picked Annie up, I was so overwhelmed and shocked with what was going on with Annie that "I" was pretty rude with the office staff. They were very patient and understanding with me and the Doctor called me the next day to give further explanation as to her diagnosis and directions. Annie is a completely different little dog (full of energy) and under Tejas' care will continue to give us smiles.

We continue to use Tejas for boarding and her conditional care; they know Annie (and me) by name and take excellent care of her - we never worry about Annie's well being while in their care. Annie loves it there too! When it's time to go to the Vet, she jumps in her little pink carrier and sits and waits to leave. The office staff is very helpful and courteous and the Doctors are very caring, compassionate and follow-up with calls, if necessary.

Very caring, compassionate clinic! Have been going there for over 10 years! Even driving 45 minutes to see them, after we moved to The Island! Love them!
