Sunset Animal Clinic offers preventive care and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Bringing your pet to one of our veterinarians for a physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep them healthy. Exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.

I needed an exotic animal vet for my bearded dragon and Sunset Animal Clinic was advertised as such. They fit me in short notice. The staff were very kind and showed genuine care and concern for my pet. The doctor was really fantastic, explained everything to me, provided practical advice. Have medication and treatment instructions, go back in a few weeks. I am confident in the the doctor's diagnosis. They see all types of animals, I will bring my cat there too.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had at a veterinarians office. They were able to work my dog in with no appointment and were just sincerely nice and patient with my nervous dog. I left there feeling good about what I was told and didn't feel unsure. I'm so very grateful. I definitely recommend them!

They are one of the few places that will see exotics including guinea pigs and rabbits. However, i always wait longer than an hour and a half for a scheduled appointment and others who arrive after are seen prior. To wait as a scheduled appointment that long is unacceptable-would be understandable as a walk in or work in. Vet care is just okay. Not very professional.
Our dogs have a wonderful, compassionate, knowledgeable vet and appointments seen on time. Unfortunately he does not do guinea pigs or rabbits or our small animals would go there as well!

PART TWO During the first visit, he didn't bark at the technician, and yet the technician told the veterinarian, "you need to watch that one". The veterinarian that we had on the first visit was Ellen Huse. She was acting scared when she first walked in the room, which made our dog uncomfortable. He barked at her when she first reached for him. She flinched and proceeded to feed our dog treat after treat without asking us if it was okay.
She also did not disclose what kind of treats they were. These treats actually made him sick, and he threw up and had diarrhea the rest of the day. She refused to take his temperature, look in his ears, check his stomach, and made my roommate and I hold him while she checked for ticks.

Dr Brown and the staff at Sunset Animal Clinic are the very best around! Dr Brown has been an exceptional vet for decades. I first met Dr Brown when I managed the Animal Protection League. His expertise kept our animals in exceptional shape in a difficult situation. He graciously donated his time by coming to the facility, all the way out in Hopkins, South Carolina. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and respectful of your time and finances. I highly recommend him and all of the staff at Sunset Animal Clinic.
