Don't go here unless you like waiting in the parking lot for hours. They are freaky about COVID, so they won't let you in until they call you back, which could be up to 3 hours. Then you get a vet who could not get a job anywhere else who charges you a fortune. STAY AWAY!

The staff is friendly and informative. I've been taking 2 of my 5 kids to them for different issues. A cat with hyperthyroidism and a dog with sever seasonal allergies. Both patients are doing much better.

I've been bringing my pets here since they first opened when they were ON St. Paul and the receptionists blew their cigarette smoke right in your face while you got checked in. They've always been kinda rude but affordable with convenient hours. And the vet used to tell me the price before starting. Now, post-Covid, they have you call from the parking lot and sit and wait with your dog barking at every movement for hours and hours.

I could deal with that IF some cutomers weren't serviced as soon as they parked and went in. You adapt for COVID, let customers schedule appointments, not wait in your parking lot. And when i ask for a wait time, their annoyed with the inquiry & reply with "we don't give out wait times, " and if i want to know where i am in the que, it takes too long for them to look so i get to listen to the annoying beeping hold "music" until someone answer to tell me they don't know how long it'll be. The vets aren't even worth the wait anymore.

Putting down an animal is never easy. The doctors and vet assistants here make you feel at ease. The doctors genuinely care about your animals comfort. I won't take my pets anywhere else at the end of their life. Thank you all for giving them the respect and love after life that I did during their life.

I have been a customer of St. Paul Veterinary Clinic for 30 plus years. The care is fine, but the way they handle the intake is awful. You have to call in when you are there and then wait for them to call you when it is your turn. I waited for over 3 hours to have my dog seen. I called twice to get an update as to where he was in the list. The second time I called a very rude gentleman told me to stop calling and I was 5th in line.

I waited for a call for an hour and fifteen minutes, then I did call back to make sure my dog was on the list and they said they called me and left a message. Not true. No call, no message. If they did they called the wrong number. The girl that answered told me my dog would be next. I watched 2 other animals go in. I left and went to the emergency care hospital.

This was a most disappointing experience. When I got home I found that they in fact did call and left a message on my home voicemail, not on the cell phone like I originally told them. So they did call, but on the wrong phone. They made a mistake that cost me another hour of waiting. This is not about the care. It is about poor customer service. They should consider taking appointments or come up with a better system. Maybe it is calling ahead to get registered and then they call you 1/2 hour before so you can then come from home and you not wait in your car for 3 plus hours.

The vet and vet assistant were lovely and kind and patient. However, the elderly receptionist was bothered greatly when I asked to see an itemized receipt. When I asked her to remove the expensive pain medicine she became visibly and verbally upset with me. Really? Is it not my right as the owner to choose how to treat my pet? And what right does she have to judge me? She must be related to someone important at the clinic. Surely, she is not retained for her warm customer service!

Family took grand dog there. Rude service and sedated him too much so he slept all day and could not control his bowels. Charged exorbitant amount to sedate and rudely opened, shut it without a greeting, came back with a muzzle because dog was nervous like most at the vet and all were barking. Very condescending tones. Get a family vet with flexible hours to avoid going to this/these places. They don't seem to respect people, animals nor your money.

Excellent clinic. I brought in my senior cat who has suffered from respiratory issues from time to time over that last several years. They were extremely gentle and so caring with my kitty. The vet was honest, knowledgeable and didn't suggest running any unnecessary test and sent us home with three medications. Within 2 days my senior cat was running around like kitten!

He was on meds for a total of a month and now taking a L-Lysine supplement daily. I highly recommend this clinic. They are honest and won't break the bank by running a ridiculous amount tests and they are extremely friendly and caring.

It was just okay. I wanted a wellness exam for my new rescue puppy. Which is $65. I also had a question about a sound she makes. The vet basically checked her for the symptom I mentioned vs. doing an overall wellness exam on her. I even had to ask if her incision from the spay surgery was healed well. If she had given her a full exam that's something she would have seen.

The wait time is extremely long. So I waited all the time just to have her reverse sneeze checked out. The staff are very nice but I don't think I will be back unless it's an emergency. If your dog is sick and you don't have a better option then this place is okay.

I brought my dog in on Friday night and waited over an hour and half to be seen. I didn't have a problem with the wait since it's a first come first serve service. They preformed multiple tests on my dog. The vet tech and vet were great with my dog. When checking out the cashiers were complaining about having to stay late at work and just overall unprofessional. Friday they said they'd call Monday morning with tests results.

I called Monday at 4pm and the receptionist said the results are in but she couldn't go over them with me. She said she'd have a dr call me asap. By 6pm no one called so I called again and yet again a dr wasn't available to over the results. Now Tuesday at noon I have called for the third time and still no one is available to go over the results. This establishment needs to come up with a different process to review the results.

It's unacceptable to leave customers in limbo regarding what could be a serious health issue.**** update the vet called at 1pm with an update. It's very frustrating for vet to set an expectation and not follow through in a timely manner. The pricing at this vet is fair.

Find a vet for your pet with flexible hours so you don't have to go to this mess. My grand dog went there and the family was treated rudely and unprofessional and overcharged. Just spewed out a dollar amount for sedation. $200 just to cut his nails. Perhaps you thought based on our "looks" that it could not be afforded. Surprise. At first opened the door and slammed it without a word, then came back with a muzzle, practically over sedated him and he slept all day and could not control his bowels. Now you can get away with nastiness but you are in the business of treating people and animals right and with respect. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.THEY DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS.

Clinic good for quick needs but not as a regular vet, we use them for vaccines because they are inexpensive also got my little dog fixed they did a good job I don't like the first come first serve because waiting in your car when it's 5 degrees can be rough. I would not use them for illness because they don't really have the follow up like a regular vet and they may not know your pet well enough to know if there are personality changes. The staff and the vets do seem to care about the animals

1st time going to St. Paul's and I LOVE them! The surgeon that took my cat Cookies infected cervix out, was the sweetest! He was so reassuring and so gentle. The staff is super friendly too. Id recommend this animal hospital to anyone! Thank you to everyone there being so awesome with cookie! I was so scared to leave her there and they were so reassuring, that I left with so much less anxiety than I did when I got there. She is healing perfectly and I will definitely be bringing all of my animals here if I ever have any issues again. 10 stars out of 5

The doctors and nurses were extremely helpful and they did an awesome job. I did have a hard time with the one opening the door she was very rude to me it made my experience a little rough especially when you're going through a hard time, our dog needed surgery. And I have heard from other people how the same woman was very rude to them also. Just want to say the doctors were awesome and nurses too. And the price was very good.

The staff was very helpful and polite. I have had a cat here before and the service continued to be great even after all these years. Staff also very friendly. They are my families vet, and WILL still be the vet of my choice.

I've been bringing my pets here for 30+ years, cats and dogs. The vets and staff really care. The prices are good. They don't try to upsell supplements and other concoctions. You do have to wait in the parking lot for your turn-due to Covid, sometimes for an hour and a half, depending on how busy they are. But I bring something to do.

They were amazing! Very sweet to my ailing cat.it felt like they really cared about him which is not something that you feel that often at the vet. Not schemey, affordable yet thorough. I will definitely be back. Big thanks to my coworker Katie for recommending them.

The staff at St Paul are always so caring and thorough. Prices are reasonable. My only choice complaint is the wait time but it's no different than if you go to am urgent care or ER for your self.

Caring staff and vet in a very clean examination room. You do have to check in, by phone, then wait in your car until called. I went on a very busy Saturday, and had to wait 1 and 1/2 hours until called. I don't have much experience with many other vets, but the prices seem very reasonable.

The vet himself was great! Informative, treated my cat with care and respect, was very calming. He's the only reason I'm even giving this location any amount of stars. It's a shame that the entire experience outside of his exam room was a nightmare. We waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen. No warning of how expensive just an x-ray and blood work would be, but worst of all the front desk receptionist was a B**** with a capital B to me. There is the option of not working in customer service if you hate customers!

Had to check in from the parking lot but it was so simple so quick and very efficient. I spend very little time waiting to be seen with my mother's cat. Which we found she has a autoimmune disease. Which can be treated with oral or injection steroids we opted for the injection and the Vet Doctor Zach was amazing and so was his assistant are very kind and very direct about the course of action is needed to help our cat

I have been going here for over 17 years and the vets at this place are absolutely awesome and I've always had a great experience Today one of the receptionist has given me one of the worst customer service experiences I've experienced in my I am a nurse who teaches customer service for my position at my job She continue to insist I called to check in from a phone number that there's no way I could've called from because it's my sister's phone number who is in Cudahy and when I could absolutely prove it by showing her my call log that I called from my phone it was not a I'm sorry next time I'll verify the phone number it was I respectfully disagree With the worst attitude and insisting there's no way I could've called from my actual phone number that she's positive my sister's number somehow called in to check my animals in After I called to notify them I've been waiting longer than anybody in the parking lot they stated while you're not answering your phone and when I notify them that's because you're calling the wrong number why would you be calling that number they said now we're going to put you at the back of the line. Absolutely worst attitude in customer service instead of just owning and addressing an issue with making a correct of action to make sure it just doesn't happen again

This clinic came highly recommended by multiple people online who raved about the quality of service and the good care the vets provided their cats/dogs. Of course, hearing this. I wanted to take my dogs here to get a vaccine and renewals of their flea, tick, heartworm medications. This is a first come first serve clinic and I had to wait 1.5 hours in the parking lot to be seen.

The vet tech who took care of the dogs was nice enough. One dog got his shot and had renewals of their medications. All was well. She asked if I wanted to buy the medications there. and I agreed. What a terrible idea! Prior vet I had seen offered very fair prices (equivalent to Chewy. want to supply local businesses so of course I'd pick vet over Chewy). but this clinic did not fall into the same category. Heartguard @St. Paul - 6 month supply (6 pills) = $78 vs. Chewy $57 (w/ autoship) Nextguard @St. Paul - 6 month supply (5 pills) = $192 vs. Chewy $120 (w/ autoshop) Lesson learned - do not buy any medications from this practice.

This clinic is cheaper than most in the city, and the surgeries they do for animals are so much cheaper than anywhere else. I used to go to a different vet, and when I got a new dog in need of various services they quoted my the price for everything at between 1200 and 1500. St. Paul Vet did everything for 1/2 the price, and they're upfront about pricing.

I'll continue to go here as long as I'm in need of cheap vet services. The downside is the wait. You call in when you get to the parking lot and we waited for about an hour and a half before anyone got to us. We called sometime after the hour mark to ask how long we would be waiting, and they said they don't give estimated wait times. The wait is very long, and you don't get to go into the clinic.

If you're going, bring a book or something to entertain yourself. Another downside is that the hours listed are not always what the hours are. I called ahead of time (which I would suggest doing) and despite their hours saying they were open until 9, they stated that they were closing early at between 5 and 6 because they were short staffed. Overall, the clinic was very cheap. Just be aware that in some senses you get what you pay for - there are no appointments, long wait times, and the hours are shortened a lot of days amidst the pandemic.

This place is very terrible to take your pet. I had a 6 week old puppy with low glucose and was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. They gave my dog some glucose treatment dewormed him and sent him on home within about 10 minutes. Me trusting the vet because they're supposed to help us out. I woke up the next morning to my pup dead lifeless which crushed soul. This place has very little care for any of the dogs that comes in and out of there. I would never recommend them!

I am visiting from Florida and googled this office, it was also recommended by family. Very disappointed. To begin with there was absolutely no place to take my doggie to pee or poop while waiting in the car. Just a big cemented parking lot. There was poop and pee everywhere near the entrance and the walkway leading to the front door. I had to dodge and tip toe just to attempt to walk my doggie.

They should place a grassy area with poop bags somewhere like every other vets office my 5 dogs have gone to. Second, the vet seemed to be indifferent and uncaring. No sign of empathy for how I was worried about my furbaby. Treated her like she was just a number and seemed annoyed when I questioned him. I explained to him about my dogs broken jaw and floating mandible and he still grabbed her neck forcing meds done her throat without explaining what he was gonna do.

I feel like he hurt her $4500 jaw surgery because now she doesn't eat, And is very timid. Time will tell. I do not recommend this vets office nor will I ever go there again.

I have been a beloved pet owner my whole life and only take my fur babies to the best, St. Paul vet is amazing, caring and affordable. I truly appreciate them seeing my babies during the pandemic and doing what they can. I had to have my puff "cat" put to rest, they let me stay in the room with him as long as I needed, I had a private cremation and they sent me a beautiful card and box for him when he was able to come home. Thank you for all you do, you made it as special as possible for me and again thank you for serving our community!

We had a good experience with the veterinarian. He explained the issues our cat was experiencing and offered an alternative solution. He administered Barium and fluids and instructed me to return 1.5 hours later to pick up our cat. Because this was the second obstruction we've dealt with and had ongoing debt from the first surgery, we needed to use Scratchpay (credit card for vet care). The secretaries did not know how to accept the payment after we were approved.

But that was not the issue. They called the manager who had gone home, for instructions. But they did not do so willingly and acted quite put out over the need to accommodate this request. Never mind the fact that they were not even slightly empathetic of our situation. We took our cat home where we were instructed to feed him small portions, monitor him and bring him back the next day if his condition did not improve.

We returned the next day at 4:00pm only to be rudely told that the clinic was closed. The website clearly states Saturday hours are from 9:30-6:00pm. When I brought this to the responders attention, he became argumentative and insisted that I was not reading the information correctly. When I asked to speak to the manager, he said " I am the manager." I could not believe how I was being treated!

We left and went to a local 24hr emergency clinic. We received genuine care and understanding from this clinic. And the cost was less then what St. Paul charged. The only reason we went to St. Paul Vet Clinic initially was because we we thought they were more reasonable then other clinics. They are not and we will never return.

Today was my first visit to St. Paul Vet. I have been dealing with a sick 4 year old cat, and I was grateful for this walk-in-style office. Their COVID precautions were reasonable and I was happy I was able to go inside with my anxious cat. They quickly assessed her digestive issues, gave her an x ray, fluids, and anti-vomiting meds, and were patient with my frazzled self. Reasonably priced, compassionate, and very efficient. Thanks, Dr. Donohue and team!

The customer service here is absolutely horrific. I called to get replacement anxiety meds for my little dog who relies on them and was lectured and even berated by the staff. My other dog had gotten into the meds and destroyed them, hence the need for replacements. After speaking to 7 different members of staff, all of whom did not help and passed me off, I was told that I could not get replacements meds because I had just picked up his refill.

And if I absolutely needed them someone else there would have to sign off on it. My dog is currently going through withdrawals and suffering and I am not being allowed to get the meds to help him. After all that I was called a shitty person for getting frustrated and anxious about the situation. After not getting any help at all, other then yet another note left in my dogs file that I needed more of his meds, I called to get the owners information to contact them directly.

I was put on hold and then the phone was picked up and unceremoniously hung up on. It was very obviously that it was deliberate. My family has been coming to this vet for generations and have always had great care but recently, that care a service has disappeared completely. I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic and everyone is stressed and frustrated but it is no excuse to talk to customers this way.

I would even understand if it was a one time thing, people having a bad day I get it, but this happened numerous times. It is horrible and completely unacceptable customer service. The owner needs to address their staffs attitude, immediately.

Ok I've been going there fir 30 plus years! Always had outstanding service and good care by them! I don't know what's going on in 2020 but the service and quality is really really crazy and I understand we're all stressed however I paid almost $1000 in a five week. Time frame For my dog to still get a run around and no diagnosis by Dr. Ben! I've called no call back for over a week numerous calls!

Ok 5 weeks in still no help! There steady charging me; taking blood Numerous times then they say well I think he might have Lyme disease we live in the city; and I yeah my yard gets treated he doesn't have Lyme disease! Paid more money; weeks 6 still no word or Diagnosis answers nothing don't go there they have changed a lot! Very disappointed when I've been going there for over 30 years very very disappointed and sad! Sorry; I'm So Pissed off all the money that I spent that I didn't even have thtew this coronavirus stuff and I still have an answer was wrong with my FIUR baby is bullshit!

-wasnt up front about the recommended after surgery care and how much that would cost. After they collected a big sum of money and after surgery the vet told us we should take our cat to the emergency vet and pay them to provide aftercare surgery care. She didnt make it 24hrs. I wish I would have known i wouldn't have been able to afford the after surgery care.

I would have just concentrated on quality of life, instead of going with a risky surgery. She suffered -they are terrible at giving call backs. I waited the whole days to hear test results from the vet and still had to call them at closing time. They even made me wait to hear if my cat was still alive -receptionist lied about having a bird expert.

She knew our bird was sick, and told us their aviation expert would be in on Friday. On Friday they told us they only clip wings. We scheduled an appointment at another veterinary hospital, my bird sadly didnt make it to that appointment. Wish I would have schedule that appointment with a real bird Vet earlier. I understand Vets can get bad rep. People always love to blame them when their pet dies, even when it wasn't the fault of the Vet. I know about pet loss. But this isnt about that. This is about lying, not being upfront, and courtesy.

I use this vet clinic on a regular basis and I like the fact that it does not take appointments, it is a walk-in clinic with evening and Saturday hours Their original pretense was that they called themselves "The Working Mans Vet" and were listed as a low-cost center. But just like everything else prices are creeping up. There is a large number of services they have on site. x-rays, some labs, dental, spay or neuter, microscopic testing, anesthesia, just be cautioned that I took my dog in for a rabies shot, they called him in and gave him his shot and when I saw the bill they had only given the-year rabies instead of the 3 years.

When I asked about it, I was told: "Well you didn't ask for the 3year!" I guess I just assumed he would get his three year and that they as the professionals should have clarified. Live and learn I guess. Otherwise, the staff is very good. D.r Phil, Dr. Ben and the owner Dr. Singh are all very good at basic stuff, shots, ears spay, neuter, minor surgeries, The even neutered my rabbit, but I probably would go to one of the emergencyy centers if it was something more complex. (I do like MECA). but I hope St. Pauls never changes and remains a walk-in clinic for routine issues. It is most convenient

St. Paul's clinic is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Since this is an first come first served clinic, If you go on a Saturday be prepared to wait, but clinic is fully staffed and the wait is too bad. If you are just going for a check up and shots, go during the week they have great hours. I have never had a bad experience here.

The only clinic I've taken my pets to in Milwaukee. The staff are always so courteous and friendly. The prices weren't drastic for reasons for being there. The clinic stays open until around 9 most nights. Even when packed I've never spent longer than hour during our visits.

Good hours. First come, first served. See any doctor available. which means multiple trips can have varying results and communication can scary from good to fair. Prescriptions have to be picked up - no email/fax/etc. Great option for flexibility in hours - unless its a busy day. Or you forget your prescription.

I've been to St. Paul vet a few times, my review is of my most recent experience. My 17 year old cat has been going outside of the litterbox and traditionally this has always been due to a UTI. The clinic is walk -in only (not for surgeries I assume) so there are good times to go and good times to not go without a wait. I was there around 2 pm on a Friday and didn't have to wait long to see Dr. Dean.

He was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. It would be nice if you could request a specific vet but I'm not sure you can do that. If so, I would ask to work with him again! Turns out kitty had no bladder issues and her blood test came back perfect. I like that they didn't try to sell me on other tests, they said it would only be needed if her behavioral issues continued and also offered ways to help with that.

I am happy that they now accept Care Credit, just in case you need to go that route and can take advantage of a promo like no interest for 6 months etc. They have hours that make it easy for first shifters to take their pet in without having to miss work. I like this clinic, although nothing fancy. I will continue to use them as my vet office!

Love your pet. My previous vet was a pain, you had to schedule an appointment a week out and they make you feel like crap for not taking their up-sell's. You don't get that at St. Paul. The fees here are reasonable, $39 each for distemper and bordetella shots. It's first-come, first-served with never a long wait and they are open into the early evening.
