South Tyler Animal Clinic is a well-established, full service companion animal hospital that has served Tyler for over 40 years. The business was originally established as a mixed animal practice on May 5th, 1970, by Drs. Don Wheeler and Doyle Starnes at the present day location of Olive Garden restaurant on South Broadway. In 1984, Dr. Wheeler rebuilt at the current location on Old Jacksonville Highway, with the purpose of making South Tyler Animal Clinic an exclusively small animal hospital. Dr. Bryan Ramsey purchased the clinic in 2008 to focus solely on small animal medicine and surgery.
Our goal at South Tyler Animal Clinic is to provide our patients with the highest quality medical care available and to deliver outstanding customer service to our clients. Our doctors are committed to advancing their knowledge and keeping abreast of the latest medical advances through continuing education. As part of that commitment, Dr. Ramsey maintains membership in the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice. We also achieve this goal by having a well-equipped vet hospital, utilizing the latest technology, such as ultasound and digital radiography, to accurately diagnose and treat our patients.
We are proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Accreditation ensures that we are meeting the highest standards in veterinary care.
