South Hyland Pet Hospital Before Dr. Schulz became a veterinarian, she was employed as a veterinary technician working mostly with horses. Discovering she had a passion and talent for veterinary medicine, she pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1984 from the University of Minnesota and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Our goal is to keep your pet healthy and free from discomfort for as long as possible so that you may enjoy all the wonders pets can bring into our lives. The Wellness Plans at South Hyland are designed to fill that gap by providing those routine services not covered by insurance.

The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. When we've had urgent matters I can typically make a same day appt and if the clinic is booked someone has called me to talk through the concern. The vets go above and beyond in their level of communication (following up etc.) and are easy to talk to.

The vets and vet Techs are absolutely amazing! Very accommodating to my very anxious dog. They had trust in us as owners and provided the absolute best care! Would recommend to anyone with a dog that is anxious. 10/10 will be making this our forever vet clinic!

The staff is nice and friendly and seems to love your pets. Both my dogs have been there and treated great.

One of their employees (young lady I believe her name was Kayla) snapped at me for not wearing a face mask in the waiting room. I have sensory issues and don't feel comfortable wearing a mask. Very disrespectful to treat your customers this way. Very confused because I was in their facility earlier that day, and everyone was nice, and said nothing about me having to wear a mask. Let your customers choose if they want to wear a mask or not. I shouldn't have to feel intimidated when bringing my dog to the vet.

Super service and friendly. I moved out of state and they are still helping me with referrals and records at our new home.

First off one of the only vets who will see Guinea Pigs in the area. Which is great. They got me in the next day. Unfortunately I had to put my piggie down. I sobbed like a baby. They didn't make me feel bad or embarrassed. They asked if I needed to call anyone and were extremely nice to me. They make complimentary little clay foot prints which is adorable.

They also came in to the room to finish paperwork and take payment (which was very reasonably priced) so I didn't have to go cry in front of more people. They let me sit in the room and calm down before leaving. And then today I got a card saying sorry for the loss of my pet signed by all the staff. Way to go above and beyond! It's very much appreciated.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with South Hyland Pet Hospital This is now the second time that South Hyland Pet Hospital came to the rescue when my pup was in need of an urgent visit and our regular vet couldn't accommodate. The vet techs that assisted were so amazing and informative and Dr. Kazunas set my mind at ease that we'd be on the mend soon. I would highly, highly recommend, and will likely be making them my primary care vet.

We've had a bad week with 2 dogs needing immediate attention, and we we're lucky enough to find South Hyland. Dr. Hana Kazunas and her team were nothing short of fantastic. Anytime an employee came into our room they did so with a heavy sense of confidence and compassion. In all our lives as pet owners, we've never received care like this.

Dr. Lehnert is kind & compassionate in his care of our dogs. He listens! Also, if our dogs have needed treatment, he gives us good information so we can make the best treatment decision for our pups. I would not go anywhere else with our treasured furry family members!
