SouthCare Animal Medical Center is located in the South Hill region of Spokane, Washington, and is a locally owned and operated, full-service animal hospital serving the needs of dogs, cats, and pocket pets. In addition to providing general and emergency care services, we are dedicated to offering multimodal pain management, including therapeutic laser.
Annual dental exams and cleanings are recommended to protect your pet from many health problems and help them maintain a healthy and clean mouth. Proper diet and nutrition can help your pet fight against disease, maintain a proper weight, and promote the overall well-being of your pet. Annual wellness exams evaluate your pets overall health, detect problems before they become serious, and keep them on track to live a long, healthy life.
If your pet is experiencing an emergency during normal business hours please call us at (509) 448-4480 ahead of your visit so that our doctors and staff can prepare for your pet's arrival. If a poison was ingested, please bring the poison container or wrapper, if available. Located on the corner of Mission and Ruby (the north-running arterial adjacent to Division) near downtown Spokane.

We have been bringing our dogs to Southcare for over 25 years. We’ve always gotten the best care here than any other place in town. Even as the staff changes they somehow seem to always have excellent Drs who truly love our dogs. We’ve experienced all the joys and tears with Southcare from puppie births to several cases of cancer to the inevitable euthanasia. Southcare truly cares about all the situations with our babies.

First time to this clinic since we moved from the other side of the state and we were very pleased with the doctor and the office. She didn’t try to push us for treatments we didn’t want for our old whippet. Really liked the vet and she will be our vet from here on out. Plus, they were prompt and on time with our appointment. We are adopting a new greyhound and she seems experienced with them.

I had not been in with our cat Princess Gracie in some time. The experience for both our cat and us, was exceptional. The attention of the entire staff and doctor proved to me that they truly care about animals! No unnecessary tests were ordered and the doctor took this one step at a time. You should definitely take your furry member of the family to these folks!

Our younger German Shepherd needed care for her ear and I appreciated SouthCare Animal Medical Center being open on Saturday. They saw Gracie right away! The staff and vet were so compassionate and professional. There is a relaxing and calming feel when you walk in. I also appreciate the hours of operation. Overall very pleased and thankful for the experience Gracie and I had. DEFINITELY will be back for our three dogs wellness and care!
