Our sweet 17 year old Puggy went to Solomons Vet his entire life. We said good bye to him there last week. The hardest thing we've done. Everyone there was so patient, kind, & compassionate through the whole process. Our hearts are still broken but I'm glad he had such great care throughout his life with Dr. Ausenbaugh & Dr. Edwards.

I had an emergency situation and they fit me in as soon as I got there when they opened. Tragically there was nothing that could be done. Every single person in that office was so kind and treated my cat Artemis as if they had known her her whole life. They made me aware of the cost of everything throughout the entire process and it was my choice except the services. When I am ready to adopt another pet I will be using them a my veterinarian. I can not thank them enough for making a terrible event a little easier to bear.

We had to take our German Shepherd to Solomon's Vet for a freak accident ... she jumped/or fell off of our 2nd story deck. I called them in a panic late in the afternoon and was instructed to bring her in. Everyone was completely amazing. They helped me bring her into the office from my vehicle and were very compassionate and caring. We were in the office for almost 6 hours and the staff kept us update frequently and checked on us constantly to see if we needed anything. They took great care of my girl and thankfully she is going to be alright. I will be forever thankful to everyone we encountered for their encouraging words and friendly smiles. They went above and beyond to make sure our Luna was taken care of and also to make sure my kids were ok after seeing our 4 legged family member in so much pain. I will continue to take our animals here because all of these people truly care about animals.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU... Wonderful, caring, attentive Doctors AND Technicians. I cannot tell you how wonderful all of the Veterinarians and Technicians are here. They care for your Pet like it was their own. Recently my dog Munson was very ill with an infection. Dr. Ausenbaugh and Dr. Buyert cured him. Today we were able to successfully do his dental procedure. I was so nervous, because my fur baby is my baby. They were so patient and kind, exuding confidence that everything would be alright. And it was! I sincerely cannot say how much I appreciate ALL of the Staff there.

I called at 7:30 in the morning needing to be seen ASAP for an emergency visit for my cat. Things weren’t looking well. The Veterinarian and front desk staff were very compassionate and went out of their way to try to make me and my pet as comfortable as possible. Although the outcome wasn’t as I had hoped, the staff at Solomon’s were amazing during that extremely rough and emotional visit.

From Our Website

Solomons Veterinary Medical Center provides quality veterinary care for dogs and cats, as well as pocket pets and exotics in Solomons, Maryland and the surrounding communities. Our warm and inviting hospital boasts superb veterinarians and caring support staff that are dedicated to our patients, clients, and community. Our veterinarians and support team are guided by our mission statement, WE CARE: Working together for Exceptional Care, with an Attitude of Respect and Empathy. February is National Pet Dental Month and we are celebrating with 15% off dental cleanings performed this February.

Founded by Dr. Nancy Ball in 1993, Solomons Veterinary Medical Center has been providing top notch veterinary care to cats, dogs, and pocket pets in Solomons for over 25 years. We understand that pets are family which is why we treat them that way. When you become a client at Solomons Veterinary Medical Center, you become part of our family and you'll know that your pet will always be in good hands. A lot has changed since we first opened our doors but one thing that's stayed the same is our commitment to helping pets live long, healthy lives.

We are equipped to see certain veterinary emergencies during our regular hours. However, if your pet experiences an after-hours emergency, they require an overnight observation, or we determine they require a level of specialty care that can be better provided elsewhere, we'll refer you to the closest specialty care or emergency animal hospital.

Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health. When oral hygiene is neglected, pets can develop dental disease which negatively affects other systems in the body and may lead to tooth loss. A pet's dental health is just as important as their physical health, however, it often goes overlooked. The reality is that oral hygiene plays a huge part in ensuring your pet lives a long, healthy life.

Solomons Veterinary Medical Center provides veterinary surgical care and services for cats and dogs. Using state-of-the-art equipment and an experienced team, we'll provide your pet with high-quality surgery in a safe, stress-free and relaxing environment. Our team of skilled veterinarians and technicians are ready to provide your pet with a range of surgeries. Each procedure consists of a thorough pre-surgical physical exam conducted by a veterinarian, surgical monitoring, and lots of TLC throughout the day.
