Skyway Animal Hospital

My dog was lost and someone found her on the streets. Skyway Vet called me because she was microchipped. They were so friendly and helpful. She was dirty, flea ridden, starved, and in bad shape. They called me, but I couldn't immediately pick her up. They kept her all day for me. But the amazing thing is that they went the extra mile. They bathed her, got rid of her fleas, helped her with her wounds, and gave her care until she could be picked up.

They gave me a leash and didn't want anything in return. This shows how much they really care for the animals. They could have had the pound pick her up and made her even more miserable. Even though it's a business, they aren't just about the money.

Love them so very much they took very good care of my baby coca puff I miss him so much

Everyone from the doctors to staff are friendly, polite and very caring. Finding them was a godsend when we moved. We love how the doctors call to follow-up personally to see how our babies are. Update 4/22: One of our fur babies passed. Although we went with an in home vet to help with passing, Skyway Doctors reached out personally the next day with their condolences. Dr. Povis and the staff also sent us a card. It really meant so much knowing how much they care.

First time taking my kitty and the overall experience was phenomenal! From beginning to end the staff and Dr were wonderful!

The attention this place has given to my cat seems extremely thorough and I've been to a lot of vets in my years. I trust them.

Very pricey. Was happy with the staff until I asked about possible waving the fee for the office visit which is double what other people charge. I asked for the manager who treated me as though I had no brain in my head about prices ect. Very surprised to be treated that rudely. Your prices are very high especially for vaccines. Unless you are Rockefeller don't use this place. It's not so much the price but the way I was treated. Going to Pet Pal now. Very happy with prices and staff treatment of customers!

Love this vet, they have taken care of 5 generations of pups. Worth the drive from Clearwater!

Little pricy but everyone here is incredibly nice and are all very obviously animal lovers. I have a very anxious pitty that doesn't dread the vet! Can't get better than that

I am so grateful for Skyway Animal Hospital! I'd reached out to my primary vet earlier in the week to get anxiety meds for my pet, who's terrified of fireworks. They said they'd call me back in 24hrs and never did. I decided to give them a little more time because I understood they might be busier due to the holidays. When I reached out to them 48hrs later, all the veterinarians were off for the holidays.

I was desperate for medicine because my dog gets so terrified it's really sad, and nothing over the counter works. I was scrambling to figure out what to do and decided to reach out to skyway animal hospital because I had been there once before. I called them the morning of New Year's Eve, I explained to them my situation, and it took them no more than two minutes to get approval from the vet for me to come and pick up the meds I needed within 30 mins.

I don't think I could fully express just how grateful I am to the staff for all of their help. If you are looking for an AFFORDABLE vet or animal hospital that truly cares and empathizes, look no further! Skyway Animal Hospital is the way to go.

I recommend Skyway Animal Hospital to everyone. The staff is always friendly and compassionate. From the front desk, to the vet techs to the vets themselves. I have only ever had positive experiences at Skyway. They are always considerate about pricing and willing to take budget into account when treating my dog. If you have an appointment they always see you within 5 minutes of your booked time.

The office is clean as can be. They are usually able to see my dog the same day or next morning if there is an urent need for a visit. If you want a vet that cares, don't go anywhere besides Skyway Animal Hospital.

Always love the staff, and cleanliness of skyway Animal Hospital. The only down side is every time I drop my boys off to board they are all too happy to go.

It has taken me some time to finally write this review. I truly want to thank the doctors and staff who did all they could to save my special friend. From the medicines to the cremation arrangements thank you.

Skyway was recommended by a friend who's lived in St. Pete for 46 years. They are huge cat lovers like myself. I began taking my cats there last year. 3 of my cats have been taken there so far and I am very pleased with the way my cats have been treated by them. I'm extremely serious about taking good care of my cats.

I've been bringing my kitties here since 2018. Everyone who works here is wonderful, communicative, and caring. Since the pandemic started, they switched practice to picking up your pet from under their carport after you arrive and call. They always ask very detailed questions, and I know my babies are being given the best care. Dr. Povis has called me during each appointment and has given detailed updates and been very patient and reassuring when answering all my questions. I also have boarded my cats here multiple times, and I always feel safe going out of town knowing they're under such good care.

We have used Skyway since we moved to St Pete in 2015. We have been very pleased with the care that the doctors and staff at Skyway have given to our four-legged family members. Both Dr Foley and Dr Povis are very knowledgeable and have great bedside manner. When our pup recently got hives, the staff fit us in right away and fixed him up. Dr Povis explained everything and even called later in the day to see how he was doing. I feel that they genuinely care very much about their patients!!

Skyway Animal Hospital is great. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a warm and friendly staff. My cat was not feeling well with a UTI infection. They treated her right to what the problem was without creating more stress to her and to me as well with expenses that were not necessary at this time. Having some of my own health issues, they understood the stress I was under. My cat is doing great and I am on my way to feeling better. They truly care about your pet.

Great staff, very caring and very professional. I was new to Pinellas County and needed a primary vet for my 4 dogs and 1 cat when a neighbor recommended Skyway. I'm glad they did. All of my tribe goes there now. Highly recommended!

Upon suggestion of a friend I contacted Skyway. They got me & elderly, failing kitty right in that morning. I was able to say goodbye & let my fur baby go without him enduring unnecessary, lengthy suffering. The staff is efficient, attentive, helpful & caring. I thank each one who helped me & kitty. Everyone at Skyway was so good to my dog Clancy. We boarded him several times and he especially loved Joyce. Joyce went so far above and beyond on caring for him that I don't know where to begin. She sent me text messages and reassurances, and took my calls when we were out of town and worried about him. I knew she was taking care of him as if he were her own dog. Clancy was elderly and when he began having severe health issues, all the vets were very kind and thoughtful. We wouldn't go to another vet and we won't board our pets anywhere else.
