Shiner Animal Hospital, situated just W of Shiner on Highway 90-A, is a complete service mixed animal clinic. We supply veterinary services including office treatment, surgery, boarding, pharmaceuticals, and feedlot and stocker consulting. In addition to standard veterinary services, we have a USDA-accredited EIA Coggins lab and a BVD-PI lab associated with Gold Standard Labs of Hereford, Texas.

The SAH veterinary team is proud to be able to provide expert health care for a variety of livestock. We examine and treat cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats on a regular basis. We also have experience in caring for bison, deer, and llamas. We have the equipment and staff needed to handle most large animal emergencies in-house. We also have a fully-equipped vet truck which enables us to treat many conditions on-site at your farm or ranch.

Even though I no longer live in Shiner. I took my dog there when he needed surgery. Shiner Animal Hospital's doctors and staff are very trusted and affordable.

I was recommended here by my sister. I am glad that I came. My dog was previously at a 24 hour emergency animal hospital and they estimated my bill to be around $6,700 on the low end of things for the treatment of my dog. And after a bunch of nonsense with them, I finally told them I was just going to take my dog home and get a second opinion. And I am so glad that I came to Shiner Animal Hospital for that second opinion! What was once a $6,700 estimate at the previous ER, turned into a $170 bill at Shiner. Quite the difference! Saved my pup and my wallet, in one trip!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! I called after hrs as a first time patient and they came in to help. The staff was very friendly, informative and took very good care of us for ac great price. I definitely recommend and will be making the hr and a half drive for all my vet needs in the future.
