Shawnee Animal Clinic

Absolutely wonderful place for any and all pets. Kind, knowledgeable and caring staff. Always clean and even 24/7 emergency services available. I just don't know what I would do without Shawnee. I had a lapse in judgement and tried vets closer to home. It is NOT a mistake I will ever make again. It is worth the hour drive for the level of quality.

My dogs are my pride and joy, and receive nothing but the best care at Shawnee Animal Clinic.

The folks at SAC are wonderful. They have treated my pets for twenty years. If they treated people, I'd be first in line!

My Meko has gone to SAC since he was born. Like humans, he doesn't like to go to the doctor, but they always treat him kindly and humor his apprehensions! He'll be 9 in May; which seems to technically make him "geriatric", but no one has told him that!

I love Shawnee Animal Clinic. I've been seeing Angie and she always does the very best she can. I had good experiences with all the other veterinarians also. They always try to be personable and understanding. They are understanding to stressful situations more than any other medical personnel you'll meet. They give you all the best options available.

I read these peoples comments on here about how much they love this place, makes me think who's doing the writing, we took our animals here for a few years even thou they were very costly compared to others in the area, well the doc comes in and says that small poodles are known to have heart problems, so they automatically want them on pills so not much time goes by and they say they need their teeth worked on and so does your cat, needless to say within months apart we lost all three seems as if a Vet wasn't doing much so they drummed up some work for this Vet what do I think about them now I think they're the worst Vet's in the country out for the buck and don't no what they're doing oh by the way they were so nice they even charged my wife full price for cremation after they killed them I call them the tooth fairies now all three had there teeth worked on and died soon after must have put them under to deep for the teeth work

My poor cat Andrew got bit by a tick and got a fever and was very lethargic. Shawnee Animal Clinic gave him anti-biotics, fluids, and anti-inflammatories. They also drew his blood. These pictures are from when he didnt feel good while we was waiting to see the vet. He's 100% better now, thanks to these wonderful people who work at Shawnee Animal Clinic. Thank you to the staff. Great people.

It's so comforting to know that Shawnee Animal Clinic is available 24/7. I have watched the employees here.vets and staff.literally sit on the floor and share their lunch with a pet that wouldn't eat. I so appreciate the love and comfort given to me when I lose a fur child. And I so appreciate the knowledge and experience of the entire crew!

Thank you for all of your kindness and assistance with our Izzy girl. It was a emotional day. we appreciate all. you did. Great place and all of my pets will be seen here, as Izzy's vet refused to see her as an emergence. Very caring and profession place.

I know I have seen great reviews and was able to get an appointment right when I called this last time because of two cancellations. So maybe I don't understand how boarding works. I needed to board my precious cat last minute, because my original house sitter had cheerleading things that came up. I l so understand that my baby girl (cat) needed shots shots.

But there is no help here. I have to leave the state to see my grandson, sons, parents and my brother. The person I talked too was pretty much this is what you have to do, NO not let me see if I can help you break down the initial payment so you can travel home without leaving your cat by herself. Please let me get something straight I just started here with my cat and it's been many issues. I guess they are not for the little guys. RANT OVER.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Value I wouldn't ever take your pet here if you want to see it again. I took my german shepard here to get his lip stitched and they killed him. This place is a joke it was a healthy young german shepherd. They should be ashamed to even call this an animal clinic. They are so unprofessional and unreliable never taking any pet back.

Very compassionate! They had to refer us to Columbus for speciality care. The DVM called and checked on us and our loved one throughout the day. They take great of our Dog!

This clinic has saved/extended the lives of my beloved pets. I just recently lost a 21-year-old cat and have a 19-year-old cat. I have witnessed one of the doctors sitting in the floor, sharing a sandwich with my dog who wouldn't eat, but seemed to like the sandwich! It's so assuring to know that, day or night, my vets are just a phone call away. Yes! Someone is on call 24/7!

We rescued a miniature yorkie several years ago. No idea of his past experiences or medical history. He has been hospitalized three times since, close to death and the great staff here has brought him through every time. Everyone here is so loving and caring They go above and beyond to give the best care to your babies.

All the employees are caring and wonderful with our fur babies! Top notch costumer service! We love SAC

The first time in the veterinarian charged us $580 for an incorrect diagnosis. Took dog to an another veterinarian, dog was diagnosed with a completely different condition, (Heartworms), my dog might have died if we would have continue with this vets incorrect diagnosis and meds.

My German Shepherd was boarded while we took a family vacation. We were 1000 miles away and when I called to check on our dog they stated was unable to care for him like he deserved because he intimidated the staff and was aggressive so they request he be sedated. I said absolutely not. They said he appeared stressed and they were dropping food from the top of the kennel.

They said had fed him the chicken and snacks that we had sent. My husband rented a car within the hour because he was unable to get a flight and drove 16 hours to pick our dog up. My husband went in to pick him up and he had been laying in urine as well as dog food they had given him. He had poop throughout his kennel. Hair was matted and he was mess.

He is housebroken and had not been outside until was picked up today. Also, the chicken and snacks were untouched. Very disappointed in their services because they were highly recommended and was aware of possible issues because he had never been away from home and that he would be stressed. Never Again. no way

They helped my pup lily walk again, she had some slight trauma to her spine but now she's up walking and playing and doing so much better! Thank you so much!

They only care about money when I brought my cat in that was attacked by a dog and they told me it could be up to 800$ and I told them I didn't have that much right now I heard a worker in the background say if she didn't have the money to fix him then why did she just kill him instead of bringing him in. It's so sick to even think there's people working there who act like that. Not somewhere I would want any pet to be.

I have to say that you guys have been ABOVE amazing! Kayla as staff has taken great care of our baby Great Dane!. He became suddenly sick overnight and by morning lost all his blood and he was tested positive for parvo! The quickness and resilience of Dr. Angie and the team has been nothing short than amazing! This week has been so hard but I am so very thankful for the quick blood transfusions and treatments and round the clock care for our baby boy Rex! We love everyone at SAC!

Very helpful, sweet people. They took great care of our sweet boy that passed even though it was on the weekend. and at night. Very thoughtful with a footprint and lock of hair to remember him by.

Scioto Trail Animal Clinic told me my dog was pregnant. We had so much trouble we finally went to Shawnee and within minutes they had to code my dog and she didn't make it. We thought she was going in to give us puppies, instead, she had a huge mass in her stomach and she died a horrible death. She suffered for 2 months. If we had gone to Shawnee before this time, they could have saved her.

They were so understanding, let us make payments, cried with us, they did everything they could do for Cinnamon. Angie was the Dr. and she is absolutely the best. Thank you so much Angie.

Definitely my vet clinic choice. Their staff is friendly & very caring. Facility is nice & clean. I can call & they'll squeeze in an appointment that day which is amazing. They have a vet for every type of animal. They're the only emergency 24/7 vet in the area. Great place & great people. My only downside is they are EXPENSIVE. I'm willing to sacrifice, I love the place that much but the pricing does suck.

Highway robbery. We called to get our new kitten vaccinated and checked out and asked how much it would be just to be prepared, I didn't care about the price I just wanted to know. Was told $60, went to check out and was charged $170! They tried to give him flea medicine and we had to tell them repeatedly that he had just had the same flea meds before they finally put it away.

They wormed him even though we told them repeatedly he had been wormed already. Just called about getting him fixed and they quoted me $101! For a male cat! It's $57 at the Ironton vet and they love cats there and are friendly. We'll be going there from now on.

Lost one star only because no one introduced themselves as to who they were. I had to figure out for myself who was the vet, vet tech and assistant. They were very good with my cat. They were efficient in diagnosing her and did stress her out any more than necessary. We will come back and I'd recommend them.
