Cindy-Lou is a very nosey five-year-old cat who likes to sniff out new people, but unfortunately doesn't trust anyone but me. She's almost guaranteed to swat at my friends when they try to pat her (bad kitty!). Thankfully, the Soft Paws prevent her from drawing blood. Here is our little Maui looking fabulous in her Soft Paws!
My mom and dad just remodeled their kitchen and were worried about my dog, Capri (3 y/o Weimaraner), coming to visit, as she's had a little trouble in the past with scratching the cabinet where the trash can is kept. Anyways, one of my roommates in college had these for her cat, so I did a quick search and was thrilled to see that you make them for dogs too!

I just wanted to say how disappointed I am with this company. A couple weeks ago, I attempted to purchase soft paws online with my debit card, my card was somehow declined even though there was no reason for it being declined. I decided to e-mail the company about this issue in hopes of getting some help in purchasing soft paws. Got an e-mail back saying that I needed to use a different credit card and that was it.

Since the only card that I have is my debit card, I was lucky enough that my boyfriend agreed to try to order them online with his credit card. So he orders them with his credit card and gets an e-mail saying that we would receive the soft paws within 5-8 business days. This order was placed on the 11th of June, it is now the 24th of June and I still do not have the soft paws that we had ordered.

So last night, I called the phone number that was posted on the website, got an answer from a lady that said she could not help because she was not able to pull up my information but took my phone number and informed me that someone would call me promptly to help me with my situation. It is now the next day and I still have not received a call from this company.

I know that my boyfriend had e-mailed them in reference to our order and got an e-mail back saying it was reshipped with barely any apology. I am honestly disgusted with their lack of customer service and feel like I am being scammed at this point.

We recently had new oak floors installed and existing floors refinished. Obviously, our main concern was our dog scratching the floors which happened immediately. FYI - if you have dogs DO NOT get wood floors because they will get scratched up! Anyway, to prevent any more damage to our new floors I did some research and found out about Soft Paws for dogs.

I have a Goldendoodle and got the XXL size. They work great! Very easy to put on but hard to get off. They do fall off but easy to put a new one on. Tip: trim the soft paw tips to fit better and easier to take off and be careful to not put too much glue in them. We usually have them on for about a month until our dog gets groomed and then we take them off before grooming so no issues with any irritation to the nails. Great product and just ordered more.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT, I WISH I HADN'T! Here is what's happened to my cats. We had a house fire in November and have been in a hotel since. The only reason I even considered using the soft paws was being in the new environment; my two cats 11yrs and 5 yrs, would of course try scratching the different smelling furniture. Paying for scratched furniture at a hotel yikes!

I did some research on the soft paws, and found the reviews to be mixed from great to horrible. I decided to take both cats into the vet to have them applied in order to ensure that it was done properly, hopeful to avoid any issues. At first they were great. Didn't seem to bother either cat. After about the 1st hour they were both running around and playing as usual.

After 6 weeks when they had not started coming off I started to get a bit nervous as this seemed to be in all the negative reviews I had come across. I went to the soft paws site and looked around for how to get them off. I did as they suggested and cut the tips off. This did not work! They continued to grow out and curl towards the pads of their toes.

I thought it wouldn't be so bad, I could just keep trimming them down to prevent them from hitting their pads. It has now been just over 12 weeks and the majority of the soft paw covers are still on their nails. The other day when I went to trim Mischiefs dew claw she growled at me, turned around, flattened her ears and forcefully put both front paws on my face.

I thought she was going to attack me. Such a strange reaction. I soon realized why. I was unable to see it until we got it out, but the back of the soft paw had grown into the pad of her toe. Her pad was bleeding when we managed to remove it. They have started to injure my cats despite every effort I've made to prevent that. I immediately called the vet afraid that the rest hers or Mikas would start to do the same.

I want them off! The vet can not remove the glued on plastic without sedating the cats. All they can do is trim them down and try to wiggle them off as I have been doing. PLEASE, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT. I WISH I HADN'T!

Purchased several times. Had to return two boxes, no problem returning but they did not credit my VISA. I would stay away. Dog paw was infected. Good for chew toys.

I'll preface this review with the fact that I work in an animal care-related field and have experience working with dogs and cats on a regular basis. I bought the extra large softpaws product to protect hardwood floors from my boyfriend's 110lb black lab mix. As far as the product itself, it does work well; the product was fairly easy to apply to my foot-shy friend with a little help from my boyfriend.

They stayed on very well and started falling off after a month or so. They were very tough and did withstand the wear and tear a big dog like that could put on them, so I'll give them that. I removed the rest of the remaining caps this past weekend (after about 3 months of them being on; the average length of leaving them on per the website if I remember correctly) and was pretty horrified at what I found: Underneath every one of the nail caps, the poor dog had developed "thrush, " a bacterial infection commonly seen (and smelled!) in horse feet not exposed to adequate amounts of air and dry ground.

They all smelled terrible, had a soft black discharge where the nail bed should be, and weakening and flaking of the keratin portion of the nail. This product may work well for cats, and maybe small dogs, but I don't think I would recommend it for large dogs. I won't be putting these back on my dog for fear of the infection spreading upward and into the toes.

Maybe I'm not applying them correctly, or leaving them on too long, but I don't want to chance it with my big guy. Instead, he'll be getting a very short pedicure when he's sedated for a routine dental cleaning in the next month or so.

Softpaws are great! They come in a variety of colors or clear. You can get them at local pet stores (usually only clear), or order online. We found that other sites have cheaper deals than the softpaw.com site. Ebay is good, but sometimes has poor shipping. We used softpaws for about 1 year on our two cats and it stopped the clawing for about a year.

Now that we moved into a new apartment the cats have started clawing again so we're going to start them on them again! Just in time for Halloween, we're going to get orange!

I second that.! softpaw/softclaws are great and work well. cats don't even notice they're there. w/ our 2 cats, they seem to last longer than the 2-3 weeks they say they do, though 1 or 2 might fall off during that time. i seem to find them cheapest on ebay.
