Preventative care is vital to help ensure that your pet lives a long and healthy life. Our team of professionals recommend annual or bi-annual physical exams to aid in the early detection of illnesses and/or serious diseases that could be life-threatening. By finding illnesses early, through wellness exams and appropriate testing, we can potentially find treatments to cure or slow disease progression. During your pet's wellness exam, our group of professionals will discuss measures that you can take at home to keep your pet heathy between exams.
We offer our clients a variety of payment options, including CareCredit and some pet health insurance plans. We partner with VetsFirstChoice for our online pharmacy to provide convenient savings, guaranteed quality, and expert support for pet parents. We love Riverton Vet! We have taken our 4 dogs to them for the last 4 years and are very happy with all treatment provided. Our dogs have been through routines exams and surgeries and we have been so happy with the results, staff, & cost management.

I am so impressed with this vet office. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Schuster and Kendra were very kind and patient and answered all my questions. They also explained the vaccinations and any reactions to expect and what to watch for. Dr. S even helped me choose some better food and treat options for Sophie. Kendra opened the blinds so Sophie could bird watch while we discussed her. Halfway through the visit Sophie was purring and no longer seemed afraid.

Have been taking my dogs and cat here for over a decade. They took excellent care of my senior dog when it was time for him to pass on and let us be there with him, gave us time to grieve after he'd passed, and helped us arrange cremation. They even sent a sweet card with his paw prints and a small bunch of his fur, which I still have four years later.

**6 month update**- After having been a patient here for 6-7 months and having visited 4 times and called a handful, I am a bit less convinced. My pup has had eye infections, ear infections, dermatitis, etc. and I believe they are all interconnected as a part of a bigger issue. I consistently have tried to ask for help on that from the vets each time I go, but I'm always told 'I'm sure it's just this', given a prescription, and pushed out the door.

But her issues keep re-occurring. It's been frustrating to have to continually come back and spend more money when I'd rather just address the root of the issue. It seems the vets I've worked with are either too busy to care or don't see it as an issue like I do. So, personally, I'm considering finding a new vet practice that will look at my dog holistically instead of piece meal. ** I have nothing but good things to say about this vet.

After having been to another vet that took away my choice in what treatments would be given to my new puppy and not giving clear direction on what was done, I was really fed up. I called Riverton Veterinary Hospital purely for advice and answers to my questions - they answered everything politely and in great detail. I felt so respected as a pet owner and grateful for their time that I decided to switch to them.

They are super kind and efficient as well as understanding and inviting. I love the vet there - she's loving and kind and cares about animals. Honestly I love everyone that works there. It's not fancy new or high tech, but I feel taken care of and that's all that matters to me. I would highly recommend them!

I went into this place a couple months ago with my 12 year old dog that i have had ever since i was 12 (Im 23 now). I brought her in sobbing because I knew that she was very very sick and needed help or else she was going to die. Everyone there was so nice and soothing to me, but I want to extend my gratitude to the doctor. He immediately found out what was wrong with her and he was the one who performed emergency surgery on her.

I genuinely didn't think she was going to make it, i sobbed and sobbed all day thinking there was no way she would survive the surgery because he was honest about the fact that the risks are really high for her. I appreciated that he was honest. But i appreciate even more that he did his best and was able to save my dogs life. As I sat at home for 6 hours without knowing the news, i had assumed she was dead.

My heart was broken that i wouldn't be able to see her happy again and running after her little chew toys. I prayed and prayed that she could just have a little longer to stay here and be happy just one more time because she deserves that. She is the best dog anyone could ask for. Anyways, later in the day my dad tells me that she made it through the surgery and all the pain went away.

I was so so tremendously grateful and as I still am for the workers in this hospital who saved my dogs life. ITHANK YOU SO MUCH DOCTOR! I THINK ABOUT YOU AND SAY MY THANK YOU PRAYERS TO YOU DAILY!

I have a 17 year old dog who i'm very protective over, especially recently. he was given a haircut and when we went to pick him up they didn't say anything and let us leave, at home i noticed his ear had a cut in it, far enough to almost take off the tip of his ear. i know it wasn't there before & its so disrespectful to cut my dogs ear & say nothing. even if it was already there you should still say something about it to make sure we don't think it's you. in the picture you can see it a bit on the left ear.

We had to put our sweet boy put down today and you guys are seriously the best. The main doctor that euthanized him was amazing. She was so kind to us. They gave us paw prints and made us a little coffin box to take him in. Thank you guys so so much.

The staff at Riverton Veterinary Hospital took such good care of our cat. They helped her to feel at ease during her appointment and blood draw and were very thorough in her care. They were so patient in letting her explore a little to feel at ease and were very gentle. I highly recommend them.

Riverton Veterinary Hospital doctors and staff are amazing! We have been taking our dogs there for over 5 years and have never had a bad experience. They have educated us and helped us lovingly care for our dogs as they got older, and compassionately assisted us in letting them go when it became necessary. The doctors are thorough in their evaluations of any medical need we have had, and in explaining options when we've had to make some tough decisions. Their staff is kind, friendly, and professional. We will continue to use their services with our current furry family; I wholeheartedly recommend Riverton Veterinary Clinic.

The staff and vet here are amazing. It was my first time here with my new pup and they were all so kind and helpful and attentive. They addressed all my concerns, treated my pup like she was their baby and made us feel comfortable. I was so impressed! I'm so glad I was able to get into this veterinary office.

Great staff and exceptional candor! Our little dog (Penny) was on a 3 week waiting list to have a painful, bleeding mass removed from her paw at our previous vet. We called Riverton Vet Clinic and they got her in, and operated on, in three days and with at least a 30% reduced cost. Aftercare support is superb as well. Dr. Jessica Zelnik, Lori and Nicole took great care of us. We are so grateful. Thanks RVC!
