STAY AWAY! I brought my one year old puppy to this emergency vet clinic with a wide range of symptoms. After an extended wait and lengthy examination, no diagnosis was made, but she was returned to us with a prescription for an antibiotic and pain killer. When the front desk person returned my dog, she walked her out on a leash, despite my telling her and the vet that she was having difficulty standing and walking.

When she got my pup to the car, she commented on how she had JUST noticed that she was having trouble walking and that we should try to get X-rays from our regular vet or come back later and wait again. As we were talking, my dog tried to enter the car (usually not a problem) and fell over on her back. Upon returning home, my dog seemed to be in more pain than ever and yelped loudly as I tried to lift her from my lap.

I called back and asked if we could come back for X-rays and be prioritized since we were at the clinic from midnight to 7am. The woman on the phone scoffed and said that there would probably be a wait, but she couldn't give an estimate. When I argued that they had not investigated the symptoms that we reported, she interrupted me, shouting "DO YOU WANT THE X-RAYS OR NOT?".

I said, "excuse me? What is your name?" She said "NO" and hung up. I took my pup back and again requested at the door that x-rays be taken to ensure she was not suffering a fracture. I tried to file a complaint about the receptionist, but no one would hear me out. My dog was seen for X-rays ultimately and had a urinalysis performed, but all results were inconclusive.

The vet admitted that the first antibiotics prescribed were useless for her current condition, but refused to offer a refund. I spent over $1000 on the two visits. I took my dog to another emergency vet almost 2 hours away, who discovered that my dog had sustained soft tissue damage on her front leg and that it was swollen. My dog sustained this injury at Redwood Clinic, as she did not have any visible physical injuries before I admitted her.

The second vet said that it was likely an injury at an injection site, where my pup would have tried to wrestle away from the needle. Additionally, when I called my own veterinarian in the morning and they asked where I had gone for emergency care, the response was, "OH. Yeaahhhhh." when I told her I went to Redwood. Apparently they are infamously shoddy. $1000, an ENTIRE sleepless night in the parking lot, a veterinarian who hid behind his wrong diagnoses AND incompetent staff (except for Steve, who was wonderful and apologetic at the very end of the process) like the wizard of Oz behind his curtain, a harassing front desk encounter that was so unprovoked, I wonder if it might have been racial discrimination, a wounded dog, and no resolution. Has I the time, I'd picket protest this business. Check out the Yelp reviews. Some suspicious 5-star reviews, but the remaining reviews are all 1-star and for the same reasons. Take your pet here at your own risk.

I typically never write reviews, but I thought I is important for this clinic to understand my first impression. I was very upset on how I was treated when I called to ask a simple question. First impression is everything. I highly recommend for the admin staff to be more professional and diligent. For some families their animals are everything to them.

When you have someone calm and level headed calling and asking about your process to bring their puppy in, I expected for someone to be thoughtful and friendly. Unfortunately my first choice ER was full, which was the only reason why I called this clinic. I work at a law firm and get an array of emotions. When someone is communicating to you respectful and really asking for clarity on how you all proceed with intake, I should not feel like I'm inconveniencing you.

Not okay. My puppy is dear and near to me and I will not bring any animal of mine to a place where the customer service to the owner is just rude. I am very disappointed by my interaction with this clinic. I will never bring any dog of mine here. I will just commute to Petaluma. If you are a new patient here, I highly recommend you finding somewhere else.

It's hard enough when your worried about your animal and to top it off with a rude staff member for NO reason is really unfortunate. One bad apple can ruin it for the whole place. Do better!

At first impression I was not at all happy with the way we were treated. We recently took on the responsibility of stray cat's that were born at our house. One of them is not doing well at all. So we decided to take her in. We arrived around 5:30pm. When they told us we couldn't get in until after there shift change. Understandable. We went home, had some dinner.

And began calling several times between 6 and 6:30pm. The lines were busy. Once I arrived the lady that assisted us told me we had to call the number on the door, otherwise she couldn't help is. I let her know the lines were bust and she treated me as if I was lying to her. "No there not, they've been ringing non stop". Once I finally hot threw they put me on hold for 15 minutes.

Once they picked up they asked questions about the cat. I let her know that the cat was non responsive. They meet us at the door and it was the same lady. She said this cat is responsive, so she's going to have to wait. There are several animals in front of her. The wait cam be around four hours. I told her to call me when she's ready and I'll come pick her up.

To which she let me know that if we weren't present when they called they would move on to the next animal in line. "It's up to you." I've really got mix feeli gs about this staff member. Not sure she wants to help. Not sure if she even likes her job anymore. The way she was talking to me really put me on edge. She needs to learn how to use her work, pick them wisely and, over all she needs to speak with empathy.

I'm just saying, most people treat there animals as if they are there kids. This lady simply didn't want to help out. She really shouldn't be here. *I wanted to recap on this experience. After 6+ hours of waiting for some attention. Around 2 am. The PROFESSIONALS at Redwood Veterinary Clinic told me they will do a quality of life exam after me practically begging to provide us with some assistance.

Within little over 15 minutes they called me to inform me the cat had rabies and should be euthanized. This got me very upset. Due to the fact that the lady that first assisted me decided that the cat was well enough to wait for other animals to be take. Care of first. It was inhumane for her to make that call. Especially since I told her the cat was not well, not responsive and in critical condition.

Not to mention that the procedure required to determine the cat had rabies took a little over 15 minutes. It was irresponsible on her part. In conclusion, although this cat was not mine as it was feral, I did my best to provide this cat medical attention. Attention, this establishment couldn't administere.

They were amazing! My sis's cat had an abscess and they drained it so quickly. My sister is not 18 so she wasn't able to go in which we hated but understand. The doctor was amazing and kitty is at home chilling.

The first attendant who assisted us was terrible, assuming we understood and knew what the bill estimate was. She explained nothing and when we asked her to explain she was not of any use. She was rude in her presence. I hope i never have her again as my boyfriend and i both found her customer service at a zero. However the second technician male for our follow up was absolutely AMAZING at the least. Explained every step and checked in personally with us during our dog procedure.

His customer service was OUTSTANDING and we thank you. ur coworker should shadow you and learn how to communicate to people during a sensitive time. We value and appreciate the overall service we have had for many years for 4 of our animals with this veterinary. Minus the rude clerk

I don't like the idea of accidentally taking another dog's ashes home. The actual process of putting my pup to sleep was everything that I expected, however uncertainty and stress was all I felt when picking up my pup's remains. When I saw the clinic's phone number on my screen I was filled with joy and couldn't wait to pick her up! However, when I answered the phone, the woman gave me another dog's name.

We paid for the private cremation (which was a couple hundred dollars) because I knew I wanted to bring back all of her, and ONLY her home with me. I felt an instant pit in my stomach just thinking about the idea of bringing someone else's dog home instead of the one I've had for 15 years. On the phone, the woman instantly apologized, stated that the labels had been mixed up, but reassured me that everything was fine and that I could come by later that afternoon/evening to pick up my pup's remains.

When I arrived later that evening, I was in the parking lot stuck on the phone because they could not find my name on the "list". The young lady took my first name, last name, and my dog's name several times and told me she didn't have my name on the list. I was not only stressed, but extremely concerned about how unorganized they were. I told the young lady about my confusion because the woman I spoke with a few hours ago told me my pup's ashes would be ready for pick up.

She insensitively replied "Like I said, I don't have your name on my list." After going back and forth several times, she put me on hold and when she came back on the line, she told me she'd be meeting me outside. Out she came with a little box in her hand. Before taking the box, I asked for some reassurance that the box she had in her hand was indeed the remains of my dog.

With no words, she looked at me, flipped the box upside down to put the label in my face which had mine and my dog's info. I shared with her my concerns of taking some one else's dog home and she finally responded back with an explanation. All in all, this was an extremely stressful experience and that I would not want anyone else to go through. Losing a member of the family is already hard enough and the last thing we need is feeling uncertainty and doubt about the trust we give to a clinic when handling our loved ones.

We had to wait 35 minutes outside the office with no phone call or notice that they were going to be late. They had NO regard for the comfort of the pet or the pet's owner. They didn't give a discount for their lack of planning. They were rude and condescending. They know that there is no other vet nearby that could accommodate my 18 year old cat at such short notice. It was either wait another month to get an appointment somewhere else or tolerate their incredibly bad service and pay to be treated poorly.

Our Family cat was in great distress and the thanks to the amazing crew and Doctors at Redwood Veterinary took great care. Caring and very knowledgeable employees even with our sad outcome of an aged Norman. At their 24 hour services, I observed with safe and secure intake and transfer of animals into and out of their offices. Grateful for their service to our family friends
