Services
Since 1994, Progressive Equine has been providing full-service ambulatory equine care to horses throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art medical care for all of our horse patients, from pleasure horses to performance and sport horses. Because we are an ambulatory practice, we are able to assess horse whole-herd health, taking into account living conditions, social issues, and physical well-being.
For nearly two decades, we have been providing compassionate, comprehensive veterinary care to sport horses and pleasure horses alike, all at the convenience of your location. There are many advantages to our ability to come to you rather than you having to bring your horse(s) to us. Convenience and the opportunity to see your horse in its own environment are key reasons we prefer to visit our clients at their own location.
Horses are living longer, better lives today due in part to advancements in preventive medicine, nutrition, and geriatric care. A yearly exam gives us the opportunity to catch problems early or before they even start. Comprehensive physical exam-This allows us to evaluate the overall health and condition of your horse.
Lameness can happen any time, to a horse of any age or discipline. Our goal is to identify the source of pain that creates the lameness. This is done in a thorough, systematic approach that begins with watching the horse move. A complete musculoskeletal exam with diagnostic tests will help us to localize the source of the lameness.
