I brought my elderly cat here unexpectedly when he was sick and was treated with such compassion and care. Amanda the vet tech and Dr Alison were great with my cat and very caring and thorough. He’s already doing better after being sick for several days and in and out of his regular vet. Will be switching to UAH moving forward!

Overall very good experiences here. The Vet that I saw was amazing, very through and nice. She definitely made my cats feel calmer and addressed all my concerns. The "nurse" left a lot to be desired. He kept getting their two files confused and seemed like he didn't really know what he was doing. I can also tell that they chase out money and try to sell you everything. But overall good!

Staff is welcoming and polite. The doctor and staff always handle my dogs with care. I would recommend this location to anyone and will continue to bring both my dogs here for all of their medical needs.

A fabulous visit started with sweet Justin getting us in for a little patch up for my big drama king. The team was incredibly accommodating and reassuring because our boy is very high anxiety. We'll definitely return for more TLC.

They "spayed" my cat and she still had bits of ovaries left inside of her. After 2 additional visits they did not take blood work and run tests to ensure. I took her to another vet who immediately ran tests and found that she had bits of ovaries inside of her and now she has to be spayed again. Gaslighting your customers into thinking their pet is just a "bad cat with behavior issues" is not good business practice. 0/10

Not very happy with this place. Took my cat in because she had sore on her neck and wanted to get her nails trimmed. So they decided to give most my cats vaccines when I never even authorized them too. They didn't trim either of my cat's nails and Said my cat wouldn't let them look at her sore or cut her nails. I mean they should know how to calm a cat down.

What if the sore is life threatening, then what. Well, I took the cat to another doctor and they were able to trim her nails and look at her neck. Maybe they need to not just worry about money and actually care about an animal. 200 dollars and none of the reasons I took her there were performed. Well, at least in process I found a place that actually knows what they are doing. I can imagine what my boss would say if I told him I can't perform my job.

Last week my husband and I had been away for a few days and had left our 12 year old shih tzu with a friend. Upon picking her up, we knew that something was not right and on the way home, Izzy became unresponsive. Needless to say my husband and I were a bit frantic and scared out of our wits. Even though we were not patients, we stopped at University Animal Hospital just as it was about to close.

Long story short Dr. Sherri Basso ushered us into an examination room to look at Izzy. She was thorough and understanding and took prompt care of Izzy even though we were past closing hours. Two days later we felt the need to have a doctor look at Izzy again and even though all appointments for the day were filled, Izzy was "worked in". Never did my husband and I feel like we were being rushed at either appointment and as I wright this Izzy is back to her sweet, adorable self to the relief of her owners.

Those of us that are animal lovers realize the stress and emotion that go with an ailing pet. Dr. Brasso put us both at ease and for a final perfect touch gave us both a big hug as the appointment was ending. While Izzy was not a patient when we entered the doors, she is now! A huge thanks to the whole staff.

Very happy with this vet. I took my baby there because he had an infection and they walked me through the whole process and only sold me what was necessary. I will definitely be back.

I would have never written a bad review about Dr. Lesmes but the one who replaced him (Dr. Basso) has been nothing but bad experiences. First she lost her exam notes for my dog and I had to come in again for the exact same thing. It was hard to find a time that would work with my schedule so she said "come in at 8 am on the dot" just for her not set her alarm and oversleep.

I wasn't seen for an hour. On top of all of that, after she had already given her professional opinion, she continue to pressure me into making a decision with the words "if it were my dog". At the end of the day, it isn't her dog, she isn't paying the bills, and knew nothing about my dog's medical history.

Very pleased with everything from making the emergency appointment to the actual care and service provided. The staff that treated our dog were excellent and took the time to answer all of our questions. After treatment, our Bella was back to her old self within a day.

I've never been at a veterinarian office that works as hard as the people in this building. I'm not sure how they do it. I wish others would show more compassion, more empathy and respect for these hard working human beings. If your pet has an emergency, they bend over backwards to fit you in and take care of whatever is going on. Not many places can or will do that.

We have been taking our pets to University Animal Hospital for almost fourteen years now. My husband and I trust them and feel they give us honest answers, advice and trustworthy solutions to help our pets live long and happy lives. Like many others, to us they are not pets, they are our furry Children. All the veterinarians and all the staff here care for animals and will do what is best for them.

They are always going to do right by the animal and that is what is most important to us. We thank all of you at University Animal Hospital for your kindness, care and compassion, for being trustworthy and honest with us throughout the years. For the exceptional care and love you have given our furry beloved children. We will always appreciate everyone who works there and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
